Description

The PRS Standard 24 Satin is a proper nod to Paul Reed Smith’s early, pre-factory creations — those legendary all-Mahogany guitars that started it all. With its solid Mahogany build, you’re getting that warm, rich tone with plenty of midrange punch. And that silky satin nitro finish? It gives the guitar a no-nonsense, stripped-back vibe that’s ready to take on the rigours of the road.

Premium tonewoods & hardware

With its satin-finished Mahogany body and neck, 25” scale and silky Rosewood fingerboard, you’ve got a recipe for amazing tone and pure playing pleasure. PRS’s Gen III tremolo and Phase III locking machine heads keep everything rock-solid too, so you can confidently dive-bomb and bend without fear of losing tune.

DMO pickups, 5-way switching

That stands for ‘Dynamic, Musical, Open’. Designed by Paul Reed Smith himself and the PRS engineering team, these pickups are the result of years of obsessive R&D and blending vintage magic with cutting-edge tech. The result? A wide-open, vocal-like sound that’s clear, expressive and beautifully balanced across the entire frequency range.

With a simple volume and tone setup and a 5-way blade switch that provides coil-split tones, the Standard 24 Satin is as versatile as it gets. From glassy cleans to soaring leads, this guitar does it all!

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Burst

A burst finish refers to a guitar finish where the colour gradually fades from a darker outer edge to a lighter centre. This technique highlights the natural grain of the wood while giving the instrument depth and visual character, making each guitar look slightly different.

Common on both electric and acoustic guitars, burst finishes range from classic sunburst styles to modern colour variations. They are popular because they combine a traditional look with a visually striking appearance that complements the shape and craftsmanship of the guitar.
