Andy Timmons’ angelic-sounding “Halo” effect is a modulated dual echo that has long been kept a secret by the tone wizard himself. Andy spent decades crafting and perfecting this spellbinding sound, which you can now replicate with Keeley’s HALO pedal! Notes from the HALO dance rhythmically, almost creating a reverb diffusion — held together with tape-style effects like modulation, saturation and compression. The results are simply incredible…

HALO comes loaded with Andy’s signature delay tone, but this feature-packed pedal lets you customise your very own sounds and store them as presets for easy recall too. Bounce between sides A and B on-the-fly — essentially giving you two delay pedals in one! In addition to Andy’s signature “Halo” sound, there are numerous other rhythmic delays built in. Stunning stereo connectivity and pristine sound quality are further enhanced with controls for saturation, tone, and shelving filters — giving you the ultimate compact delay workstation!

Key Features

  • Functions as 2 delay pedals with up to 1500ms of available delay time, with different sounds saveable to sides A and B that you can switch between.
  • ‘Rhythm Mode’ selector allows you to select from 5 delay types: quarter note, dotted eighth, Andy Timmons’ “Halo”, bucket brigade (stereo rack analogue BBD delay), and tape delay (vintage multi-head tape echo).
  • 8 factory presets loaded with new delay and modulation sounds.
  • Dedicated ‘Saturate’ control adds tape compression texture to your tone, while the ‘Tone’ and ‘High Pass Filter’ knobs control your overall delay shape and mix.
  • Status light indicates when you’ve adjusted a knob from home settings.
  • Soft stomp switches for tap tempo, infinite hold, preset save/recall, and more.
  • Remote switching and programmable expression pedal control.
  • DREAM multi-core DSP for stunning sound quality.
  • Stereo true-bypass/trails, switchable on-the-fly.
  • Made in Edmond, USA.

2 Delays in One!

Think of HALO as two delay pedals that work in tandem, letting you switch between your main delay (side A) and an alternative (side B). With up to 1500ms of available delay time, set sides A and B for different delay times, then simply switch between the two. Keeley’s ‘Smart Stomp System’ allows you to press and hold either stomp switch to engage tap tempo mode. Press and hold the alternate stomp switch for infinite repeat/hold — great for creating soundscapes with! Each preset bank gives you two delays settings for a total of eight user-storable effects.

Guitar Pedals

Guitar pedals are compact effects units that shape and enhance a guitar’s sound, sitting between the instrument and the amplifier. They include gain pedals like overdrive and distortion, modulation effects such as chorus and tremolo, time-based effects like delay and reverb, and essential utilities including tuners, compressors and loopers. Understanding basic things such as pedal type, signal order, power requirements and intended use helps players choose pedals that suit their style, setup and playing environment.

Delay

Delay is an effect that records the guitar signal and plays it back after a short period of time, creating an echo or repeat. By adjusting the time, feedback, and level, delay can add subtle depth and space or produce rhythmic, expressive repeats that enhance lead lines, ambient textures, and overall atmosphere.

Dual

Dual describes gear designed with two of the same or complementary features working together, such as dual channels, dual pickups, or dual effects. This allows greater flexibility and tonal range, letting players switch or blend between sounds for different styles, settings, or playing dynamics without changing their setup.

Echo

Echo is a time-based effect that repeats a sound after a set delay, creating distinct reflections that fade away over time. Unlike reverb, which blends reflections together, echo produces clearly defined repeats that can range from a single slapback to long, rhythmic delays.

It is widely used on guitar, vocals, and instruments to add depth, space, and rhythmic interest. Echo has strong associations with vintage tape units and early studio effects, but it remains a fundamental sound-shaping tool across rock, ambient, dub, and modern music styles.

Pedal

Pedals are the tools that let you shape, colour and transform your sound, from subtle tone enhancement to bold, creative effects. Whether you are adding grit, space, movement or control, a pedal becomes part of your playing rather than just an add-on. Exploring different pedals is about discovering what responds to your touch and helps your sound feel more like your own.

Signature

Signature models are instruments or pieces of equipment developed in collaboration with a specific artist, built around their personal preferences, playing style, and sound. They are usually based on a proven design but include customised specifications such as pickups, electronics, hardware, finishes, or neck profiles chosen by the artist.

These models give players access to tones and features shaped by a particular musician while remaining practical for everyday use. Some signature instruments involve subtle refinements, while others are highly distinctive, appealing both to fans of the artist and to players who value the specific characteristics built into the design.
