Key Features

  • All Rosewood neck – Smooth feel, luxurious looks, and lush tonal warmth that only Rosewood can deliver. The ultimate premium guitar neck wood?
  • Modern “D” Neck Profile – Built for high performance, the modern “D” shape neck provides a familiar comfort that pins you closer to the fretboard for greater access up and down the neck.
  • Jumbo Stainless-Steel Frets – For enhanced intonation and over tonal resonance, the jumbo frets make expressive bending easy and exciting.
  • Premium electronics & hardware – Enjoy better resonance & tuning stability with classic Wilkinson hardware, with specially-voiced Alan Entwistle pickups for inspiring tones that outweigh the S408’s price point.

Comfortably Ergonomic

Soloking’s S408 feels fantastic in your hands, from the all Rosewood neck to the ergonomic body contours that enable greater access and comfortability when playing. The bolt-on heel joint has been carved to enable greater access to the high end of the fretboard. The “D” shape neck profile with a satin finish provides a welcoming playing experience that is suitable for any hand shape, whilst providing you with fast fretting and agility when navigating the fretboard. The jumbo stainless-steel frets guarantee clean bends, rich sustain, and clarity with every note – no matter how fast you play.

Alan Entwisle pickups

Alan Entwistle has been an innovator in guitar electronics for decades, working with the likes of Tanglewood, Hohner, and Jansen Guitars. He now lends his expertise to Soloking, which feature a variety of his Neodymium humbuckers & singlecoils. The S408 comes loaded with both, so you can switch from distortion-friendly high output to the full-yet-twangy character of a neck singlecoil.

More info about this Product

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.
