There are few shapes more evocative of ’80s rock than a V. The BC Rich JRV blends jaw-dropping looks with outstanding performance features for the ultimate modern metal machine! The Extreme Series JRVis a high-performance electric guitar that comes kitted out with a wealth of first-class features — all designed to provide premium playability and monstrous tone!

Fly high with the JRV Extreme’s ultra-hot Fishman Fluence Modern humbucker pairing, dip and dive without losing tune via the recessed Floyd Rose tremolo system, and tune up seamlessly with a set of Grover Rotomatic Ratio tuners!

Floyd Rose

A Floyd Rose is a double-locking tremolo system designed to allow extreme pitch modulation while keeping the guitar in tune. By locking the strings at both the nut and the bridge, it prevents string slippage, making it possible to perform deep dive-bombs, pull-ups, and vibrato effects without the tuning instability associated with traditional tremolo systems.

Floyd Rose systems are most commonly found on rock and metal guitars, where aggressive tremolo use and precise tuning stability are essential. They offer a wide expressive range but require more setup and maintenance than fixed bridges, including string balancing and fine tuning at the bridge, making them best suited to players who actively use the tremolo rather than occasional vibrato.
