Description

The iso8 is a rechargeable lithium-ion DC power supply for guitar players with a total output capacity of 2.0 amps at 9v and a battery capacity of 51.8 W-HR. Electrically, the iso8 utilises patented BiWire, isolated output technology that isolates the positive and negative ground wires and creates 8 outputs that are effectively individual 9V batteries that will all last the same time, no matter how much power each individual pedal is pulling. And since all the outputs are fully isolated from each other, crosstalk noise and interference between effects pedals in the chain are effectively eliminated.

More info about this Product

Guitar Pedals

Guitar pedals are compact effects units that shape and enhance a guitar’s sound, sitting between the instrument and the amplifier. They include gain pedals like overdrive and distortion, modulation effects such as chorus and tremolo, time-based effects like delay and reverb, and essential utilities including tuners, compressors and loopers. Understanding basic things such as pedal type, signal order, power requirements and intended use helps players choose pedals that suit their style, setup and playing environment.

Pedal Power Supplies

A pedal power supply converts mains or battery power into the regulated DC outputs required by an effects board. True isolated outputs break ground paths and reduce interaction between pedals, while daisy chains share a common supply. Each output must match voltage, polarity and current demand; switchable voltages, high-current sockets, IEC or external adapters and mounting dimensions affect compatibility.

Guitar Pedal

Guitar pedals alter, route, control or support an instrument signal from the floor. The tag covers individual effects, multi-effects, switching, tuning, looping, amplification and pedalboard utilities. The product category and additional effect tags identify the specific job each pedal performs.

Rechargeable

Contains a battery designed to be recharged inside the unit. Cell capacity determines operating time, while charging connector, charge-while-playing support, battery protection and eventual replacement access affect long-term use. Charging noise and the number of full cycles before capacity declines are additional design considerations.
