Description

The Córdoba Fusion 5 is designed as the ideal gateway into the world of nylon strings for steel string players. Blending a comfortable, slim fusion neck with a solid Spruce top and Mahogany body, it delivers a familiar feel under the fingers while opening up the warm, expressive voice of a classical-style instrument. With a cutaway for upper fret access and a Fishman Presys VT pickup system, it is equally at home on the sofa, in the studio or on stage. Available in a range of stylish finishes, the Fusion 5 keeps things player focused. A slightly narrower nut width, radiused fretboard and side dot markers make the transition from electric or steel string acoustic feel natural and intuitive. Plugged in, the onboard electronics capture the guitar’s articulate nylon tone with clarity and control, so you can simply dial in your sound and play. Comfortable Fusion Neck The Fusion 5 features Córdoba’s fusion neck profile with a 16 inch fretboard radius and a 48 mm (1 7/8 inch) nut width. This combination feels much closer to a steel string acoustic than a traditional flat, wide classical neck, making chord shapes, barre chords and melodic lines feel instantly familiar. It is particularly helpful for players with smaller hands or anyone who finds a standard classical neck too demanding. Solid Spruce Top with Mahogany Back and Sides A solid Spruce top gives the Fusion 5 a bright, responsive attack and excellent note definition, ideal for everything from fingerstyle to strummed accompaniment. Mahogany back and sides add warmth and balance, creating a rich, musical voice that works beautifully for classical pieces, Latin styles, jazz voicings and modern acoustic playing. Cutaway Body and Player Friendly Details The full size body with cutaway provides easy access to the upper frets, so you can explore melodies and solos higher up the neck without compromise. Side dot fret position markers, a pearl decal rosette and matching arches bring a contemporary, performance ready feel to a nylon string instrument, giving you clear visual reference on dark stages and a refined aesthetic. Stage Ready Fishman Presys VT Electronics Equipped with a Fishman Presys VT pickup system, the Fusion 5 is ready to plug in and play. The discreet controls allow you to shape your tone quickly and easily, while the integrated battery box and output jack keep everything neat and reliable. Whether you are performing live, rehearsing with a band or recording direct, the electronics faithfully translate the guitar’s natural nylon character. Key Features Fusion Neck with 16 Inch Radius – A slimmer 48 mm nut width and radiused fretboard create a feel that is very close to a steel string acoustic, helping electric and acoustic players adapt to nylon strings with minimal adjustment. Solid Spruce Top – The solid Spruce soundboard responds dynamically to your touch, offering clear articulation, strong projection and a versatile tonal range that suits both fingerstyle and strumming. Mahogany Back and Sides – Mahogany back and sides provide a warm, balanced foundation that complements the brightness of Spruce, resulting in a rounded, musical tone that works across many genres. Fishman Presys VT Pickup System – Built in Fishman electronics let you go straight into an amp or PA, giving you a consistent, controllable amplified sound for gigs, rehearsals and recording.
