If your looking for some quality upgrades for your Stratocaster, then this humbucking pickup from Dimarzio might be just the thing, with it’s single coil body shape fitting nicely into the bridge position.

Building on the popularity of the original Tone Zone series, you get fantastic mid-range and bass response with a warm high frequency range. A hot pickup with an increased dynamic range, It gives you the options to produce a rich, powerful sound with heavy picking, or a clean and dynamic sound with softer playing.

So a great powerful dynamic sound with rich overtones; what else would you want? Well just in case you were looking for more, this Tone Zone pickup has it covered. With 4-conductor wiring, the pickup can also produce parrallel humbucking and split-coil modes for a quality single-coil sound to add to its tonal range.

If you’re looking for a full pickup overhaul for your guitar, then the DP189 will make a great bridge combo with the Pro Track, the Chopper and Fast Track 1.

Here’s what DiMazio say about the Tone Zone S Pickup

The Tone Zone S brings the famous performance of The Tone Zone to a humbucking Strat replacement pickup. We’ve built in the tremendous mid-range and bass response of the original Tone Zone, and the same patented dual-resonance design produces great harmonics. We also took into account the likelihood of installing The Tone Zone S in the classic slanted Strat bridge position, warming up the higher frequencies and brightening the low notes a little. It has 4-conductor wiring for parallel humbucking and split-coil modes, and makes a great bridge position combination with the Pro Track, The Chopper, and Fast Track 1.

If you compare the specs of the full-size Tone Zone with those of The Tone Zone S, you will notice they don’t match. That’s because the trick in building a single-coil size pickup to sound like its big brother is to go for the sound rather than the numbers. We also took into account the likelihood that The Tone Zone S will be installed in the classic slanted Strat bridge position, so we warmed up the higher frequencies and brightened the low notes a little to compensate.
