Here’s What DV Mark Say About the Raw Dawg 60

Eric Gales is one of the most interesting artists on the modern blues scene not only because of his unique skills and phrasing on guitar but also due to a pretty personal way to sculpt his tone. He doesn’t use just the typical twangy sound you can expect from any strat style blues player, he actually loves super clean, bright and super punchy tones where he can decide to jump in with any distortion, overdrive or fuzz pedal, depending on his inspiration in that moment. Since the very first time he plugged his guitar into a DV Mark DV Little 250 head, he realized that one had to be his signature tone!

That’s why he partnered with Marco De Virgiliis to create the DV MARK RAW DAWG EG signature head. The incredible power of this head is great for large stages where Eric can deliver all the dynamics and volume this amp is capable of, but he also needed a great tool to adapt to smaller venues, still getting all that tone definition at a lower volume. The idea that led Marco De Virgiliis to create the DV RAW DAWG 60: the perfect amp to let Eric get a powerful, dynamic and warm clean channel where he can create his tone together with his favorite pedals. It features a single tube driven channel and a 60 watts power amp.

One Single Clean channel

The DV RAW DAWG 60 features a single Clean channel with Level, Low, Mid, Hi and Reverb controls. That’s the perfect scenario Eric Gales needs to free his mind and paint this perfect canvas with his pedals colors. The DV Raw Dawg 60 is the perfect choice for all those players loving their pedals and needing a proper clean sound to use them all.

Tube Driven Preamp

The DV RAW DAWG 60 features a 6205 micro tube in the preamp section giving that extra bite, warmth and punch, always keeping the tone super clean and dynamic.

Onboard Reverb and FX Loop

A great sounding Reverb gives a very nice dimension to any sound you can get on the DV Raw Dawg 60 and the FX Loop on the rear panel allows to connect your favorite pedals after the preamp section.

MPT Power Amp

A 60 watt MPT (Mark Proprietary Technology) power amp makes this lightweight combo amp the perfect choice for small and medium venues where you need to feel the punch and dynamics of an amp working on its ideal power range.

AUX IN, Headphone Out

The DV RAW DAWG 60 also includes a Headphones output and an AUX input for iPod or MP3 player so you can practice anywhere and anytime you like.

120V/240V Dual voltage switch

This amp also features a Dual Voltage Switch 120V/240V to use in countries with different voltages, without having to carry an external converter!

Distortion

Distortion pedals deliver the raw, aggressive edge that defines rock and metal, transforming your clean tone into something powerful and full of attitude. By pushing your signal into rich harmonic saturation, they create thick, sustaining sounds that cut through any mix. From classic crunchy riffs to high-gain modern mayhem, distortion pedals give you total control over how wild or tight your tone gets. Whether you’re crafting searing leads or heavy rhythm walls, they’re an essential tool for adding energy, bite, and character to your playing.

Overdrive

Overdrive pedals add warmth, grit, and natural compression to your tone, capturing the feel of a pushed tube amp. They respond dynamically to your playing, offering everything from a light bluesy crunch to full, saturated rock tones. Perfect for boosting solos or shaping your core sound, an overdrive pedal brings character and life to any setup. Whether you prefer vintage smoothness or modern bite, these pedals are essential for players who want expressive, touch-sensitive drive with plenty of personality.

Stratocaster

The Fender Strat – Stratocaster is one of the most iconic electric guitars ever made, celebrated for its sleek design, versatility, and instantly recognisable tone. Introduced in 1954, its contoured double-cutaway body, three single-coil pickups, and tremolo bridge set a new standard for comfort and sound flexibility. The Strat’s bright, expressive voice has defined countless genres, from blues and surf rock to funk and modern pop. Played by legends like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and David Gilmour, the Stratocaster remains a symbol of creativity and innovation, offering players endless tonal possibilities and a timeless feel that continues to inspire generations.
