About EastCoast Guitars

EastCoast guitars are brilliant starter instruments that come packed with great features to get beginners started on a musical journey. These are some of the best low-cost guitars we've ever come across. EastCoast guitars have a large, all-encompassing range of electric guitars, acoustics and basses.

We’re able to bring you EastCoast guitars at truly affordable prices. They are built in a factory in the East and by keeping production costs down, are able to make guitars that punch above their weight at every level. They look slick, play well and sound great.

Construction

The PJ4 features a solid "P-Bass" style Basswood body for a deep, resonant tone without being too heavy. A selected Canadian Maple neck topped with a Rosewood fingerboard feels incredibly comfortable and brings an air of quality that far exceeds its affordable price point.

Electronics

The PJ4 is loaded with both "P-Bass" and "J-Bass" pickups for a range of iconic bass tones. With independent volume controls for each pickup and a master tone, you can go from smooth and mellow to punchy and percussive with ease.

Hardware

With traditional appointments from every angle, the PJ4 looks every bit as good as it sounds. Featuring a classic, vintage-style bridge and open-gear tuners, the PJ4 delivers excellent tuning stability and intonation. Learning to play a new instrument is tough enough, without battling to try and keep it in tune all the time. Fortunately, you won't need to worry about this with the PJ4 so you can spend less time tweaking and more time getting your chops together!

Stuff About Bass Guitars

Bass guitars form the backbone of a band’s sound, sitting between rhythm and harmony to give music depth, weight, and movement. Available in electric and acoustic forms, they focus on delivering strong, controlled low frequencies while remaining clear and responsive to playing dynamics. Factors like scale length, string type, and pickup design all influence tone and feel, allowing bass guitars to suit a wide range of styles and techniques. Whether laying down solid grooves or exploring more melodic lines, a good bass guitar anchors the music and brings everything together.

Stuff About Electric Bass Guitars

Electric bass guitars provide the low-end foundation that supports rhythm, harmony, and groove within a band. Designed for clarity, punch, and control, they translate string vibration into a focused, amplified signal that locks in with drums and drives the music forward. Different scale lengths, pickup configurations, and electronics influence feel and tone, from deep, rounded lows to tight, articulate attack. Whether used for simple supportive lines or more expressive playing, electric bass guitars are essential for shaping the feel and energy of a track.
