The EastCoast T62 a fantastic entry-level electric guitar that combines a comfortable setup with amazing twangy tones and classic styling inspired by the earliest ‘T-style’ electric guitar designs from the ’50s and ’60s. For that extra layer of luxury, EastCoast have adored the T62 with double-binding, accentuating the guitars curves and eye-catching finish. Plug it in, choose your pickup, and get playing straight away, whether it’s rock riffs, country classics, or anything in between!

Key Features

  • Perfect For Beginners – Built with beginners in mind and brought to you at an accessible price, the EastCoast T62 is a comfortable, lightweight guitar with sounds & classic looks to match – whatever your style!
  • Versatile Sonic Palette – The Poplar construction provides a tight, resonant tone, while the switchable single-coil pickups put a huge range of electric guitar sounds at your fingertips, from rock to funk to twangy pop.
  • Excellent Tuning Stability – The T62 keeps your strings in tune thanks for solid die-cast tuners and a retro-style ‘bridge’ where the strings meet the body – so you can rock out for as long as you want.
  • Double-bound Design – The front and back of the T62 is outlined by striking cream-coloured binding, adding to its classic looks inspired by vintage guitars.

Construction

The T62 features a solid Poplar T-style body for a deep, resonant tone without being too heavy. A Maple neck topped with a 12″” radius Rosewood fingerboard feels incredibly comfortable and brings an air of quality that far exceeds its affordable price point.

Electronics

The T62 is loaded with an ECT62 single coil pickup in the neck position and an ECT2 in the bridge for a range of iconic T-style tones. With controls for volume and tone, and a 3-way selector switch, you can go from smooth and mellow to bright and twangy with ease!

Hardware

With traditional appointments from every angle, the T62 looks every bit as good as it sounds. Featuring a classic, fully adjustable three-saddle bridge and sealed, die-cast tuners, the T62 delivers excellent tuning stability and intonation. Learning to play a new instrument is tough enough, without battling to try and keep it in tune all the time.

Stuff About Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.
