Description

Hendrix, Clapton, Harrison…. all lugged around the 150 poundsleslie speaker cab just to get the tone that Electro Harmonix have distilled into a pedal. You can now click on and off everything from very bright, funky rotary tones all the way through to dark and haunting “grungy” echos.

With 8 control dials and 3 buttons that control everything from drive to speed and accelaration this is a flexible, useful pedal that could quickly become a board must have for rigs across the genre’s.

So what sounds can I get?

If you’re playing anything with a prog rock or funk vibe the high drive and squeeze buttons give you some good compression and high end push.

Dial in just the compression and sustain and you can get a little of that black hole sun feel to your music. There’s a little nirvana in there and with a few tweaks to the right controls your own unique sounds.

Amp Cabinets

A speaker cabinet is responsible for turning your amplifier’s power into the sound you actually hear, and it plays a huge role in the overall feel and character of your tone. Different cabinet sizes, speaker types, and configurations can affect everything from low-end punch to clarity and projection. Cabinets can be open-back or closed-back, single or multi-speaker, each offering a distinct response and spread in a room. Whether paired with a powerful amp head or a compact setup, the right speaker cabinet helps define how your guitar sits in a mix and how it feels to play.

Amps
