Description

The ‘Everlong’ wait is over. Possibly the most anticipated electric guitar of the decade, the Epiphone Signature Dave Grohl DG-335 Electric Guitar in Pelham Blue needs no introduction. The Foo Fighters frontman, Dave Grohl, is probably best known for looking like the drummer from Nirvana – the comparison between the two is uncanny. But he has been a longtime Gibson player since the late ‘90s, rocking his Gibson Custom DG-335 that combines the unique styling of a Trini Lopez, with modern appointments, which has become an incredibly popular and sought-after model.

Key Features

  • Gibson USA Burstbuckers – Loaded with two Gibson USA Burstbucker pickups, you too can ‘Learn To Fly’ to extraordinary sonic heights with a deep, explosive, and articulate sound.
  • Elliptical ‘C’ Shape Neck – Comfortable and accessible, the elliptical profile pins you close to the Laurel fretboard and enables you to ‘Run’ up and down the neck with ease.
  • Dave Grohl Signature Appointments – The Epiphone DG-335 bridges the gap between the popular ES-335 and Trini Lopez models, giving you a unique and exciting electric guitar to play like ‘My Hero’, Dave Grohl.

Gibson Custom Shop Treatment

Partnering with the Gibson Custom Shop, Epiphone is proud to present the DG-335 in a more accessible format. Featuring the combination of ES-335 and Trini Lopez elements, the DG-335 is comprised of a Maple body, with signature diamond sound holes, in a bound hollow body construction to give you a bright, tight, and encompassing resonant tone. Loaded with Gibson USA Burstbucker humbuckers, the DG offers a warm, aggressive, and powerful tone, giving you the same charismatic tonal character as the original to ‘Walk’ in the footsteps of Dave himself.

Enhanced Tuning Stability

To rock out like the Foo Fighters, you need fantastic tuning stability, and the Epiphone DG-335 does not disappoint. The Trini Lopez shaped headstock offers a different, yet familiar, action on the strings to achieve high bends and heavy chugging. Boasting Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners, complemented by a LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar, the DG-335 will get the ‘Best of You(r)’ playing.

More info about this Product

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Semi-Hollow Electric Guitars

Semi-hollow electric guitars combine elements of solid and hollow body designs, offering warmth and resonance alongside improved sustain and feedback control. Typically built with a centre block running through the body, they deliver an open, airy character while remaining stable at higher volumes. This balance makes them well suited to a wide range of styles, from jazz and blues to indie, rock, and alternative music. Semi-hollow guitars respond well to dynamics and touch, providing a versatile, expressive option for players who want depth without sacrificing control.
