The Epiphone J-200™ Studio EC is part of the all-new Epiphone Studio Acoustic Collection. These guitars have been completely reimagined to offer the most authentic and affordable acoustic guitars inspired by iconic Gibson designs. The J-200 Studio EC offers a blend of classic design and modern functionality and was designed to appeal equally to beginners and seasoned players alike. The Epiphone J-200 Studio EC acoustic guitar is a distinguished model, celebrated for its Super Jumbo body and remarkable sound projection. Inspired by the legendary Gibson SJ-200, “The King of the Flat-Tops,” this guitar boasts a cutaway for improved access to the upper frets. The J-200 Studio EC has a layered maple body with four-ply binding on the top, single-ply binding on the back, fretboard, and headstock, and a solid spruce top for a responsive, balanced tone with excellent dynamic range that will sound even better with the passage of time. The mahogany neck is joined to the body with a glued-in tapered dovetail neck-to-body joint and has a 1960s SlimTaper™ D profile that makes it comfortable to play. The neck is capped with a rosewood fretboard equipped with 20 standard frets and adorned with pearloid graduated crown inlays. The other ends of the strings are routed over a compensated plastic saddle and are anchored to the Moustache™ rosewood bridge with ivory with black dot bridge pins. The Moustache bridge is decorated with four pearloid inlays.

We also included other features that give the J-200 Studio EC even more vintage-style visual pizazz, including an iconic J-200 style tortoiseshell-colored pickguard with classic two-color J-200 graphics, Epiphone Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, and a bound 60s Kalamazoo-style headstock with the Epiphone logo and Gibson Crown proudly displayed in mother of pearl. The J-200 Studio EC comes with Fishman® electronics, including an S-Core under-saddle pickup and Fishman Presys™ II preamp with side-mounted volume, bass, treble, and phase controls. It also has a convenient built-in electronic tuner that makes tuning up quick and easy. The Epiphone J-200 Studio EC has a gloss finish and is offered in two vintage-inspired colors—Natural and Vintage Sunburst. Both right-handed and left-handed versions are available. A standard gigbag is also included.

Stuff About Acoustic Guitars

Acoustic guitars produce their sound naturally through the vibration of the strings and body, offering a direct and expressive playing experience. They come in a wide range of styles, including steel string and classical designs, each with its own feel and tonal character. Body shape, wood choice, and construction all influence warmth, projection, and balance, making acoustics suitable for everything from gentle fingerstyle to confident strumming. Whether used for songwriting, practice, or performance, acoustic guitars provide a simple, honest connection between the player and the music.

Stuff About Electro-Acoustic Guitars

Electro-acoustic guitars combine the natural sound and feel of an acoustic guitar with built-in electronics for amplification. Fitted with pickups and preamp controls, they allow you to plug directly into an amp, PA system, or recording setup while retaining an acoustic character. They’re ideal for live performance, rehearsal, and home recording, offering volume control and tonal adjustment without relying solely on microphones. Electro-acoustic guitars suit players who want the warmth and responsiveness of an acoustic instrument with the flexibility to play amplified when needed.

Stuff About Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

The Important stuff

Left-Handed Guitar — Left-handed guitars are built specifically for left-handed players, with the body shape, controls, and string orientation reversed to provide a natural and comfortable playing experience. Available across electric, acoustic, classical, and bass styles, they offer the same variety of tones, features, and build quality as right-handed models. Using a properly designed left-handed guitar helps with balance, technique, and confidence, allowing players to focus on developing their sound without having to adapt to an instrument that doesn’t suit the way they play.. Vintage Sunburst — Vintage Sunburst is a classic guitar finish that fades from a darker outer edge into a warm amber or lighter centre, highlighting the natural wood grain. It is strongly associated with traditional electric and acoustic guitars, offering a timeless look that reflects classic craftsmanship and heritage design..
