The Epiphone Newport Bass is an all-original design that debuted in 1961. This modern-day interpretation of the Newport Bass pays tribute to that rare vintage model, while offering refinements to meet the needs of today's bassists. The 30.5" scale length and comfortable medium "C" neck profile make it suitable for players with a wide range of hand sizes, while the symmetrical double-cutaway body ensures excellent access to every fret.

The Bass Sidewinder neck pickup provides rich, deep tones, while the TB PRO in the bridge position delivers brighter timbres. The two pickups are paired with master volume and tone controls, as well as a blend knob so that you can precisely get the tonal balance you desire. Trust us, this bass is packed full of mojo!

Stuff About Bass Guitars

Bass guitars form the backbone of a band’s sound, sitting between rhythm and harmony to give music depth, weight, and movement. Available in electric and acoustic forms, they focus on delivering strong, controlled low frequencies while remaining clear and responsive to playing dynamics. Factors like scale length, string type, and pickup design all influence tone and feel, allowing bass guitars to suit a wide range of styles and techniques. Whether laying down solid grooves or exploring more melodic lines, a good bass guitar anchors the music and brings everything together.

Stuff About Electric Bass Guitars

Electric bass guitars provide the low-end foundation that supports rhythm, harmony, and groove within a band. Designed for clarity, punch, and control, they translate string vibration into a focused, amplified signal that locks in with drums and drives the music forward. Different scale lengths, pickup configurations, and electronics influence feel and tone, from deep, rounded lows to tight, articulate attack. Whether used for simple supportive lines or more expressive playing, electric bass guitars are essential for shaping the feel and energy of a track.
