Formerly known as the "ESP Standard" series, ESP's E-II instruments are expertly-crafted in Japan. The E-II Eclipse Full Thickness EverTune may be one of the most "complete" electric guitars ever made. It starts with a traditional full-thickness body, reminiscent of the most coveted single-cutaway guitars in history, and from there, it vaults into the modern era with features like multi-voice Fishman Fluence pickups and the acclaimed EverTune constant-tension bridge — allowing your guitar to stay in perfect tune!

Built at a 24.75" scale, the ESP E-II Eclipse features a set-thru neck for smooth and fast access to the highest frets. It also offers a Mahogany body with Maple cap, Mahogany neck, and an Ebony fingerboard with pearloid ESP flag inlays and 22 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets. The back of the neck is satin-finished for superb, speedy playability.

In addition to the black EverTune bridge with gold saddles, its components include ESP strap locks, gold Gotoh locking tuners with black lock wheels, and a bone nut. It also features a set of Fishman Fluence Classic Humbucker active pickups with multiple voicings that are selectable with push/pull switches on the tone and neck volume knobs — delivering everything from vintage "PAF" tones to beefy, overwound mid-range and tight, articulate lows. An ESP deluxe hardshell case is included.

Key Features

  • Mahogany Body with Maple Cap — Mahogany is a rich-sounding tonewood that gives the instrument a warm mid-range quality, adorned with a plain Maple cap to bring out some top-end clarity and "snap".
  • Set-Thru Construction — Yields massive sustain and enables smooth, unhindered access to the higher frets; especially with the contoured heel.
  • Thin "U" Neck Profile — Lean shape is suited for performance-minded players who prioritise both comfort and speed.
  • Ebony Fingerboard — Dark and silky material, featuring a 12" radius and 22 frets.
  • X-Jumbo Stainless Steel Frets — Resistant to corrosion for life-long performance. Wide and tall fret-wire provides a quick response and effortless articulation when playing chords or single notes.
  • Fishman Fluence Classic Pickups — These versatile multi-voice humbuckers serve up a host of inspiring tones. Voice 1 emulates a vintage "PAF" humbucker, Voice 2 is clear with a vocal mid-range, and Voice 3 harnesses the sound of a traditional single-coil.
  • Evertune Bridge — An all-mechanical system that's designed to keep the guitar perfectly in tune! Features an innovative spring and lever mechanism for each string, with the saddles pulling in a way to keep constant tension and thus naturally maintain tune through all conditions.
  • Gotoh Locking Tuners — Make string changes fast and simple, so you can spend more time playing!

More info about this Product

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

Solid Body Electric Guitars

Solid body electric guitars are built from a solid piece or pieces of wood, giving them excellent sustain, stability, and resistance to feedback at higher volumes. This construction makes them well suited to amplified playing across a wide range of styles, from clean and articulate tones to heavy, high-gain sounds. Their design allows pickups and hardware to play a major role in shaping tone, while the solid body provides a consistent, reliable feel. Solid body electric guitars are valued for their durability, versatility, and ability to perform confidently on stage and in the studio.
