Here's what ESP say about the LTD F-1005 FM:

With its sculpted and contoured body, the F shape has long been a favorite of players of the heaviest music styles. The F-1004 and 5-string F-1005 are neck-thru-body designs at 35” scale with a seven-piece maple/purple heart neck and a mahogany body with flamed maple top that looks great in See Thru Black finish.

However, the most exciting aspect of the F-1004 and F-1005 are its innovative Fishman Fluence Bass Soapbar pickups that offer multiple voicings with coil splitting via a push-pull volume control, as well as a balance control and 2-band EQ with a 3-way mini switch for voice 1, voice 2 (mid cut), and voice 2 (mid flat). The F-1004 and F-1005 also offer stainless steel frets on a Macassar ebony fingerboard, and have a See Thru Black Satin finish on the back of the neck.

Stuff About Bass Guitars

Bass guitars form the backbone of a band’s sound, sitting between rhythm and harmony to give music depth, weight, and movement. Available in electric and acoustic forms, they focus on delivering strong, controlled low frequencies while remaining clear and responsive to playing dynamics. Factors like scale length, string type, and pickup design all influence tone and feel, allowing bass guitars to suit a wide range of styles and techniques. Whether laying down solid grooves or exploring more melodic lines, a good bass guitar anchors the music and brings everything together.

Stuff About Electric Bass Guitars

Electric bass guitars provide the low-end foundation that supports rhythm, harmony, and groove within a band. Designed for clarity, punch, and control, they translate string vibration into a focused, amplified signal that locks in with drums and drives the music forward. Different scale lengths, pickup configurations, and electronics influence feel and tone, from deep, rounded lows to tight, articulate attack. Whether used for simple supportive lines or more expressive playing, electric bass guitars are essential for shaping the feel and energy of a track.
