Description

Focusing solely on Patrick James Eggle’s historic acoustic body shapes, our PJE Legacy Series guitars continue to set a new standard for professional excellence. New for 2026, the handmade Faith PJE Legacy FG4 model is the latest to be granted access to Patrick James Eggle’s sought-after ‘Earth’ body shape.
This exquisite OM Cutaway design pairs a Solid Torrefied Sitka Spruce top with Solid African Mahogany back and sides – a time-honoured tonewood combination that delivers both clarity and warmth in perfect balance. The top has undergone a meticulous roasting, or torrefaction, process: the spruce is air-dried, then carefully heated in a controlled, oxygen-reduced environment to remove excess moisture before being reconditioned. The result is a top that is more stable, responsive, and sonically mature – producing a voice with enhanced projection, rich overtones, and the played-in character of a well-loved instrument decades its senior.
The Satin Sunburst finish allows the natural character of the torrefied spruce to shine through, while solid Flamed Maple binding adds an elegant contrast and subtle luminescence around the body’s contours. Complementing these premium tonewoods are Ebony fittings throughout -including the bridge, fingerboard, and pickguard – alongside bone nut, saddle, and bridge pins for optimum tonal transfer.
Electronics are courtesy of Fishman’s Flex-T system, combining an undersaddle piezo with an internal condenser microphone for a natural, expressive amplified tone.
Based on Patrick James Eggle’s ‘Linville’ model, the Earth is a true Orchestra Model (OM) shape. While it shares several geometric characteristics with the highly acclaimed Venus, the Earth possesses a distinct tonal voice and form, drawn entirely by Patrick’s own hand. With a 15” lower bout and a body depth of 4.45”, it offers a perfectly balanced mid-size profile for exceptional comfort and tonal focus.Specifications

Electro-Acoustic

Electro-acoustic guitars are acoustic instruments fitted with built-in pickups or microphones that allow them to be amplified or connected directly to a PA system or amplifier. They retain the natural acoustic tone and feel of a traditional acoustic guitar while adding the convenience of onboard electronics.

They are commonly used for live performance and recording, especially in situations where consistent volume and clarity are needed. Electro-acoustic guitars often include controls for volume and tone, and sometimes built-in tuners, making them a practical choice for gigging musicians who want an acoustic sound with modern flexibility.
