Sleeker, refined and simply better than ever – the American Professional II Jazzmaster range is another leap forward for Fender, introducing all new features such as rolled edge fretboards, a “Super Natural” neck finish and improved V-Mod II pickups.

The Jazzmaster is your go-to offset guitar. It’s dripping in alternative style and boasts a host of luscious finishes. Players after something a little different to the norm will find the American Pro II Jazzmaster an extremely enticing prospect.

Supreme construction

It’s a case of little changes coming together to make a big difference here. The Jazzmaster is made of a sturdy alder body with a bolt-on maple neck and maple fingerboard, enhanced by the all-rounder deep “C” neck shape and new rolled fretboard edges. It’s a supreme addition, making transition up and down the neck that bit smoother.

Things only get better with the Super Natural satin neck finish, doing its part to keep your fretting hand moving freely without sticking as you might find with a gloss layer.

Panorama Tremolo system

Vibrato is a huge draw for the Jazzmaster and it’s been improved for the American Pro II. The Panorama tremolo system drastically increases vibrato range, allowing for the reach of a dramatic Strat style dive on top of the classic Jazzmaster warble.

Sound

No doubt, the original V-Mod pickups sounded fantastic. But Fender have yet again raised the bar, enhancing them to deliver even more articulation and sweeter harmonics. The V-Mod II single coils designed specifically for the Jazzmaster are beautifully chimey and well-defined.

You’re still getting classic Jazzmaster versatility thanks to lead and rhythm circuit controls, as well as thumbwheel volume and tone dials when your set the pickups into series mode – essentially recreating a thick humbucker punch.

Stuff About Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

The Important stuff

American — American typically indicates gear designed or built in the United States, often associated with classic tone, build quality, and traditional design. In the case of Fender-style instruments and pedals, it usually points to bright, clear tones, strong note definition, and a feel rooted in vintage American guitar heritage that suits everything from clean playing to edge-of-breakup sounds.. Green. Jazzmaster — The Fender Jazzmaster was designed in the late 1950s for jazz players but quickly found fame in surf, alternative, and indie rock. Its offset body offers great comfort when seated, while the unique floating tremolo and wide single-coil pickups create warm, chimey tones with plenty of character. The rhythm and lead circuit switching opens up a world of tonal options. Loved by players who like to stand out — from surf pioneers to shoegaze icons — the Jazzmaster is all about individuality and feel.. Professional. Surf.
