We’ve joined forces with our pals at Chicago Music Exchange to bring you four exclusive Fender Player II guitars with serious swagger. These exclusive models debut a colourway that could’ve been — but never was. Say hello to Lavender Haze: a smokey amethyst shade inspired by mid-century appliances, classic cars and the dreamy hues of Lake Michigan beaches and Chicago’s lilac gardens. Sling one over your shoulder and get ready to turn heads on any stage!

But these instruments aren’t all about the finish. Under the hood, you’ll find all-new Fender “Full Dip” pickups — named after the iconic way to order an Italian beef in the City of Big Shoulders. These pickups are the result of decades of listening to players, dissecting vintage gear and collaborating with Fender’s Custom Shop wizards. Here’s what makes them so special…

Fender “Full Dip” pickups

Starting with the Vintera II recipe, Fender added two tasty twists:

  • Alnico 2 magnets: The standard Alnico 5 magnets have been swapped for Alnico 2 to tame harsh frequencies, smooth out the EQ and allow your notes to bloom with a sweeter, bell-like top end.
  • +5% overwind: A little extra wire gives you more midrange punch and output — perfect for pushing dirt pedals without squashing your dynamics.

“Blender Mod” circuit

For even more tonal flavour, this Strat features a clever wiring mod that blends the neck pickup into the bridge position for Tele-style tones you can’t get with a standard Strat. Here’s a breakdown of all the pickup positions:

  • Position 1: Bridge pickup with neck pickup blend.
  • Position 2: Middle & bridge pickups with neck pickup blend.
  • Position 3: Middle pickup.
  • Position 4: Neck & middle pickups.
  • Position 5: Neck pickup.

Key Features

  • Lavender Haze colourway: Stand out from the crowd with a smokey amethyst finish that oozes retro cool.
  • Slab Rosewood fingerboard with rolled edges: Enjoy a smooth, broken-in feel straight out of the box.
  • Medium jumbo frets: These make big bends easier and keep your intonation in-check across the neck.
  • “Full Dip” pickups: Get sweet, bell-like highs and punchy mids that cut through any mix. Plus, enough output to drive your fave OD pedals without compressing dynamics.
  • “Blender Mod” circuit: Unlock tones you didn’t know a Strat could do! Blend the neck and bridge pickups for Tele-style twang and expanded versatility.
  • 2-point synchronized tremolo: Dive-bomb or add subtle vibrato with great tuning stability, thanks to Fender’s modern two-point design.
