You might not think of acoustic guitars when you picture punk rock legend Tim Armstrong, but the Hellcat is actually based on Tim's vintage Fender acoustic that was his go-to for songwriting. The Hellcat 12 is the 12-string version which features an all-mahogany body, built-in Fishman electronics, and that classic bell-like 12-string sound.

All-Mahogany 12-String Body

Every guitarist should have a 12-string in their arsenal. 12-string guitars have 6 pairs of strings, with the lower 3 usually tuned in pairs of octaves and the upper 3 pairs are tuned to the same note as each other. The result is a natural chorus effect that sounds like two guitars playing at once. With a 12-string you get a rich, full sound, with an incredible bell-like ring that'll instantly reinvigorate your playing. This guitar has laminate mahogany back and sides and a solid mahogany top. Mahogany is a tonewood known for its warmth and midrange emphasis which helps balance the characteristically bright 12-string sound.

Built-In Fishman Electronics

This guitar is ready to plug-in-and-play right out of the box thanks to the built-in electronics. The Hellcat 12 features a built-in pickup and preamp from Fishman, an industry-leader in acoustic guitar amplification. Whether you're looking to perform live or lay down some recordings you can simply plug it in and you're ready to go. The onboard preamp feaures controls for shaping your tone and a built-in tuner to ensure you always sound your best

The Important stuff

Acoustic Guitars — Acoustic guitars are timeless instruments known for their natural tone, warmth, and versatility. Using a hollow wooden body to amplify the sound of vibrating strings, they produce a rich and resonant voice that suits everything from gentle fingerpicking to lively strumming. Favoured by singer-songwriters, folk musicians, and performers across countless genres, acoustic guitars are valued for their simplicity and expressiveness. Available in various body shapes such as dreadnought, concert, and parlour, each offers a unique tonal character and feel. Whether played around a campfire or on stage, acoustic guitars continue to connect people through their pure, organic sound.. Natural — Natural guitars showcase the beauty of the wood itself, with finishes that highlight the grain, colour, and character of each piece. Favoured by players who appreciate simplicity and authenticity, natural finishes let the instrument’s craftsmanship and tonewoods speak for themselves. Whether it’s the warm glow of mahogany or the bright shimmer of maple, a natural guitar has a timeless, organic look that never goes out of style. These instruments often feel more connected to their acoustic roots, offering both visual elegance and a sense of purity that appeals to musicians across all genres..
