Description

Tom DeLonge might be known for his unique singing voice, but there's no denying that his taste in guitars is pretty special too. The Blink-182 / Angels & Airwaves guitarist has once again teamed up with Fender to bring a slick pop-punk-flavoured offset semi-hollow to the masses: introducing the Tom DeLonge Starcaster.

  • Riff-ready Seymour Duncan pickup – A single bridge pickup means the quickest route to crisp, punchy, attention-grabbing punk rock riffage.
  • Roasted Maple neck – A great-feeling neck that looks the part, complemented by an ultra-comfy modern C profile.
  • Satin finish with DeLonge artwork – A smooth pastel colour scheme meets subtly-placed artwork from Tom himself on the back of the body & headstock.

Body & Neck

DeLonge's Starcaster starts off with a sparkling treble and mid-focused laminated Maple body, semi-hollow with a center block. This offset shape is complemented by a Roasted Maple neck with a modern C profile, featuring medium jumbo frets and a lush Rosewood fingerboard for a modern feel with superior playability.

Adorned with a smooth satin urethane finish and DeLonge’s original signature artwork on the back of the headstock, this particular Starcaster is a punchy no-frills riff machine that oozes attitude without compromising that great Fender feel!

Electronics & Hardware

Expect turbo-charged tone fit for endless power chords and riffs galore, courtesy of a single Seymour Duncan® SH-5 Duncan Custom™ humbucker. Not a fan of overthinking things, DeLonge has opted for a simple master volume control and treble bleed circuit, preserving the guitar’s natural high-end and playing real nice with a bit of crunch.

Finally, a fully adjustable bridge with stop tailpiece brings classic looks, superior setup adjustment, and excellent tuning stability. For a less-is-more guitar, this thing brings plenty of performance to the table – all you need to do is focus on the rock show.

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Semi-Hollow Electric Guitars

Semi-hollow electric guitars combine elements of solid and hollow body designs, offering warmth and resonance alongside improved sustain and feedback control. Typically built with a centre block running through the body, they deliver an open, airy character while remaining stable at higher volumes. This balance makes them well suited to a wide range of styles, from jazz and blues to indie, rock, and alternative music. Semi-hollow guitars respond well to dynamics and touch, providing a versatile, expressive option for players who want depth without sacrificing control.
