Description

Here's What Focal Say About the Sub One Active Subwoofer

Featuring impressive dynamics and extremely low distortion, Focal’s Sub One active studio monitoring subwoofer can reveal a wealth of low-end detail for any mix.

Slatefibre neutrality

Inheriting the evolved design traits of Focal’s Alpha EVO series, Sub One features two 8-inch Slatefiber cone woofers developed in-house by Focal France to offer neutrality as well as detail. Each driver serves a wide frequency response from 120 all the way down to 32Hz.

Power in numbers

Sub One delivers 200W of total RMS power along with a high level of control. Low-pass crossover, polarity, phase and of course volume can all be fully adjusted to user requirements.

For dealing the subwoofer in and out quickly, an external footswitch output is also available to cut the Sub One in and out with the tap of a button.

Easy integration

The rear panel of the Sub One is armed with balanced 3-pin XLR inputs and outputs, along with a dedicated LFE “Low Frequency Effect” input and output management system for optimum satellite configuration.

Thanks to its neutral shape and build, Sub One easily integrates into almost any workspace and can be placed directly against a wall or under a desk without impacting on performance.

Distortion Pedals

Guitar Pedals

Guitar pedals are compact effects units that shape and enhance a guitar’s sound, sitting between the instrument and the amplifier. They include gain pedals like overdrive and distortion, modulation effects such as chorus and tremolo, time-based effects like delay and reverb, and essential utilities including tuners, compressors and loopers. Understanding basic things such as pedal type, signal order, power requirements and intended use helps players choose pedals that suit their style, setup and playing environment.

Distortion

Distortion pedals deliver the raw, aggressive edge that defines rock and metal, transforming your clean tone into something powerful and full of attitude. By pushing your signal into rich harmonic saturation, they create thick, sustaining sounds that cut through any mix. From classic crunchy riffs to high-gain modern mayhem, distortion pedals give you total control over how wild or tight your tone gets. Whether you’re crafting searing leads or heavy rhythm walls, they’re an essential tool for adding energy, bite, and character to your playing.
