Description

Friedman’s cabinets are built to the same high standards as their premium, hand-wired amplifiers. The Celestion V30-loaded vertical 2×12″ cabinet is the perfect partner for small amp heads, with a closed-back Baltic Birch construction that ensures balanced and punchy projection across the frequency spectrum. Ergonomic Vertical Design The conventional side-by side speaker configuration that most 2×12″ cabinets adhere to may be preferred by some players, as it forms a low-profile enclosure. However, a vertical cabinet is much more practical from a sonic perspective, with the slanted design creating a “monitor” effect that projects sound slightly upward as well as forward – meaning that you can hear yourself better onstage. Celestion Vintage 30 Speakers Perhaps the most crucial element of this efficient 2×12″ cabinet is its Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. Considered the industry standard, the venerable Vintage 30 speaker is ideal for modern rock and metal tones and is capable of handling powerful amplifiers. Warm lows, rich mids and detailed highs can be expected from this highly-versatile speaker. Premium Construction As with all Friedman cabinets, oversized 12-gauge speaker wire is soldered between the speaker and terminal – ensuring that you capture every ounce of valuable tone from your amplifier. The Friedman Vertical 2×12″ cabinet is handcrafted with pride in the USA, designed to withstand the rigours of the road. Amp Cabinets

A speaker cabinet is responsible for turning your amplifier’s power into the sound you actually hear, and it plays a huge role in the overall feel and character of your tone. Different cabinet sizes, speaker types, and configurations can affect everything from low-end punch to clarity and projection. Cabinets can be open-back or closed-back, single or multi-speaker, each offering a distinct response and spread in a room. Whether paired with a powerful amp head or a compact setup, the right speaker cabinet helps define how your guitar sits in a mix and how it feels to play.

Amps

Guitar amps cover everything needed to amplify, shape, and project your guitar sound, from small practice setups to full stage and studio rigs. In this category you’ll find combo amps, separate amp heads and speaker cabinets, covering valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, each offering a different feel and response. You’ll also see modelling and digital amps, built-in effects, footswitches, attenuation solutions, replacement speakers, valves, and essential accessories to keep an amp performing at its best. Whether you’re chasing pristine cleans, classic crunch, or modern high-gain tones, guitar amps and related gear are all about finding the right balance of power, tone, and control for the way you play.

2×12

2×12 refers to a speaker configuration using two 12-inch speakers, commonly found in guitar amplifier cabinets. This setup delivers a bigger, fuller sound than a single speaker, with increased low-end response, projection, and overall volume.

A 2×12 cabinet offers a strong balance between power and portability, providing much of the depth and punch of larger cabinets without the size and weight of a 4×12. It is popular for live performance and studio use, especially with high-powered amp heads and driven tones.

Amp

An amp is an amplifier used to boost the signal from a guitar and shape its overall tone and volume. It plays a major role in how a guitar sounds, influencing everything from clean clarity to natural overdrive and distortion, and is a core part of any guitar setup for both practice and live performance.
