Building on the foundation of Gallien-Krueger's popular Microbass amps, the Fusion Series offers a wealth of player-friendly features for today's gigging musician. Bringing together performance and portability, the Gallien-Krueger Fusion 112 is a high-powered combo that is ready for the biggest stages, the home studio and everything in between.
The Fusion 112 is a compact bass combo boasting an eye-watering 800 watts of solid state power and features GK's unique 6-stage tube powered preamp. The 12ax7 tubes in the EQ section bring a warmth to the sound that compliments the already wide ranging and useful response. Additional “Voice”, “Cut”, “Body”, “Bump”, “Contour”, “Hi Cut” and “Presence” voicing filters allow you to dial in the perfect bass tone with ease. The independent overdrive circuit is also powered by a pair of tubes, working just like the input stage of a tube power amp. When you dig in and player harder, you get an organic breakup similar to that of a tube amp. The overdrive channel can be activated via the included footswitch for seamless use in a live environment.
At the heart of the Fusion 112 is a 12" Neodymium woofer and 1" tweeter, manufactured by GK specifically for the Fusion Series. The speakers and cabinets are designed from the ground up to work together to deliver the best possible performance for bass guitar. All Fusion Series amps use a unique interconnection system to help eliminate problems that can arise from extremes in temperature and heavy vibrations. By using circuit boards with gold-plated connectors as opposed to cables with standard tin connectors, the Fusion 112 is extremely reliable and delivers a purer sound. The Fusion 112 also boasts universal power for seamless 100 to 240 volt operation, making it perfectly suited for everything from local jams to major tours anywhere in the world.
