Key Features

  • Extremely Limited – The Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble in Vintage Honey Burst  is limited to only 500 worldwide, with its exposed white bobbin pickups and vintage finish this Les Paul won’t be here long!
  • White Bobbin – Rarer than hen’s teeth, double white bobbin PAF pickups are regarded by vintage Gibson enthusiasts as one of the most desirable unicorns out there. For the first time, Gibson has replicated this eye-catching aesthetic in a core-range model, capturing even more vibe and mojo from the golden era of electric guitar.
  • Vintage Finishes – Fully finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, the limited edition double trouble models feature an elegantly faded vintage finish to truly capture the look of these classic Les Pauls.

Body & Neck

The guitar is made with the winning formula that the Les Paul is known for. The solid Mahogany body is topped with Figured Maple. This classic combo gives you an undeniably beautiful aesthetic, not to mention jaw-dropping sustain, weighty lows and a timeless top-end sparkle.

In keeping with tradition, the neck is also Mahogany, in this case using a rounded ‘50s-style profile. Combined with a Rosewood fingerboard and Trapezoid inlays, it feels, looks and sounds every bit as classic as you’d expect.

Hardware & Electronics

Gibson have loaded the ‘50s Standard with Burstbuckers featuring Alnico II magnets. These magnets are known for their PAF-style sound; combined with the Mahogany & Maple duo and handwired electronics with Orange Drop capacitors, the Burstbuckers deliver that singing Les Paul tone that’s inspired guitarists for generations.

The hardware has been carefully selected to echo the classic Les Paul blueprint. Vintage Deluxe tuners & Gold Top Hat knobs are among the notable features, with Nickel plating and luxurious binding perfectly tells the story of an iconic instrument.

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Burst

A burst finish refers to a guitar finish where the colour gradually fades from a darker outer edge to a lighter centre. This technique highlights the natural grain of the wood while giving the instrument depth and visual character, making each guitar look slightly different.

Common on both electric and acoustic guitars, burst finishes range from classic sunburst styles to modern colour variations. They are popular because they combine a traditional look with a visually striking appearance that complements the shape and craftsmanship of the guitar.

Les Paul

A Les Paul is a solid body electric guitar known for its thick, powerful tone, strong sustain, and classic single-cutaway shape. It is commonly associated with warm, rich sounds and is well suited to rock, blues, jazz, and heavier styles, thanks to its mahogany body, carved top, and typically humbucker-loaded pickups that deliver depth, punch, and smooth overdrive characteristics.
