Description

HILS introduce the HZ7, an angular model as part of their headless guitar range, this time in a 7-string configuration with fanned frets. Expect an ergonomic feel, exquisite intonation accuracy, and massive tones courtesy of custom 7-string active humbuckers – and it looks just as sharp as it sounds!

Key Features

  • Multi-Scale Fanned Frets – Play more comfortably, faster, and for longer with the ergonomoc fanned fretboard, also providing improved intonation for richer chord tones, harmonics, and single-note resonance.
  • Active Ceramic Humbuckers – Expect fatter, chunkier chords, crystal-clear cleans, and saturated leads thanks to HILS’ higher-output active ceramic pickups, voiced specially for the guitar’s 7-string multi-scale design.
  • Roasted Maple Neck – Play for longer without having to tune due to the roasted Maple neck. The neck has been thermally cooked to remove moisture from the wood which improves the tuning stability.

Classic Tonewoods Meet Cutting-Edge Design

There’s a reason Mahogany is one of the most commonly-used electric guitar body woods. A combination of superior sustain and plenty of low-end depth is complemented by the lush Roasted Maple Neck, balancing the HZ7 with snappiness and smooth playability.

Devastatingly Powerful Humbuckers

Dominate the stage with the powerful custom active 7-string humbuckers designed to literally punch through the mix, and deliver searing lead tones with complete tonal clarity. Whether it’s lightning-quick shred, chunky metal riffs, or simply the clearest & most resonant tones you’re after, this ceramic humbucker double-bill has got you covered.

More info about this Product

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Guitar

Explore electric, acoustic and bass guitars across a wide range of playing styles, body shapes and specifications. The most useful differences include scale length, construction, pickup type, neck profile, materials and whether the instrument is intended for amplified, acoustic or hybrid use. Use the narrower guitar categories and feature tags to compare instruments with similar designs rather than relying on appearance alone.
