The Ibanez AAM50LCE Advanced is an electro-acoustic guitar which is designed to deliver exceptional tone and effortless playability. Its Solid Sitka Spruce top and Sapele back and sides create a balanced sound with sparkling highs, warm mids, and rich lows. The Low Oval Okoume neck and Purpleheart fretboard provide a smooth, comfortable feel, letting you glide across the fretboard over long playing sessions.

Key Features

  • Low Oval Grip Okoume neck – The Low Oval neck grip facilitates easy chord strumming.
  • Purpleheart fretboard – The Purpleheart fretboard emphasizes the beauty and the rich tonal character of this bass.
  • Solid Sitka Spruce top – Solid Sitka Spruce top provides an enormous frequency range that offers wave after wave of shimmering highs along with tight mids and a full-bodied low end.
  • Sapele back and sides – Sapele back and sides offer a full-bodied and warm mid-range and a bright tone.
  • Ibanez T-bar Undersaddle pickup – The Ibanez T-bar Undersaddle pickup accurately translates that full sound to whatever amplification system you plug it into.
  • Ibanez AEQ-TP2 preamp w/Onboard tuner – The Ibanez AEQ-TP2 preamp provides the extra punch of on-board EQ along with a convenient and easy-to-read digital tuner and 2-band EQ, located on the instrument’s upper bout.
  • Purpleheart bridge – The Purpleheart bridge transfers string vibration directly to the body, delivering a natural and warm tone.
  • Ibanez Advantage bridge pins – These pins really are an advantage over old-fashioned pins. Advantage™ pins are easier to take out and easier to put in than standard pins. A special bulb-shaped end makes the pin easy to grip and also prevents the pin from being pushed in too far. Best of all, with Advantage™ the pin and string stay put.

A.I.R.port

Through intensive research and development, we have designed the A.I.R.port with a unique internal structure that reflects sound waves and guides them to exit from a precisely positioned sound hole. As a result, players can monitor what they are playing more clearly, which enhances the overall playing experience.

Advanced Auditorium Body

With the concept of Advanced Acoustics – ”Reimagining Acoustic Experience” in mind, we carefully designed the new body shape of the Advanced Auditorium, drawing on our research into the general Auditorium body shape. After many rounds of prototyping, the Advanced Auditorium body has a slightly wider waist, which has been moved slightly towards the neck. Thanks to these changes, this shape delivers a richer low mids and better body to weight balance, which conventional Auditorium bodies tend to lack.

X-M bracing for AAM series

After more than two years of trial and error, research, and prototyping, Ibanez developed its proprietary X-M bracing specifically for Advanced Auditorium guitar bodies to produce the ultimate sound for the stage and studio. The carefully designed scalloped X-M bracing, tone braces, and finger braces efficiently transmit string vibration from the bridge to the body. This bracing provides a wide dynamic range and excellent response. The mids are slightly scooped for better tonal balance, and the treble has the clarity of steel strings while retaining the warmth of nylon strings.

Functional Tapered Headstock

The newly designed headstock shape is the result of thorough research and investigation. Its tapered shape provides lighter weight, as well as a straight string alignment which enhances tuning stability and reduces any neck twisting effect

Advanced Access Cutaway

Its deep straight cutaway (from 18th fret) and shaved side enable amazing high fret access.

Stuff About Acoustic Guitars

Acoustic guitars produce their sound naturally through the vibration of the strings and body, offering a direct and expressive playing experience. They come in a wide range of styles, including steel string and classical designs, each with its own feel and tonal character. Body shape, wood choice, and construction all influence warmth, projection, and balance, making acoustics suitable for everything from gentle fingerstyle to confident strumming. Whether used for songwriting, practice, or performance, acoustic guitars provide a simple, honest connection between the player and the music.

Stuff About Electro-Acoustic Guitars

Electro-acoustic guitars combine the natural sound and feel of an acoustic guitar with built-in electronics for amplification. Fitted with pickups and preamp controls, they allow you to plug directly into an amp, PA system, or recording setup while retaining an acoustic character. They’re ideal for live performance, rehearsal, and home recording, offering volume control and tonal adjustment without relying solely on microphones. Electro-acoustic guitars suit players who want the warmth and responsiveness of an acoustic instrument with the flexibility to play amplified when needed.

Stuff About Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

The Important stuff

Auditorium — An auditorium guitar is a medium-sized acoustic guitar known for its balanced, clear sound and comfortable playing feel. It delivers controlled bass, detailed mids, and crisp highs, making it ideal for fingerstyle playing, light to moderate strumming, and situations where note clarity matters. With a slightly narrower waist than larger body styles, it sits comfortably when played seated and performs well both on stage and in the studio. Its even tonal response makes it a versatile choice for players who want an acoustic guitar that handles a wide range of playing styles with ease.. Left-Handed Guitar — Left-handed guitars are built specifically for left-handed players, with the body shape, controls, and string orientation reversed to provide a natural and comfortable playing experience. Available across electric, acoustic, classical, and bass styles, they offer the same variety of tones, features, and build quality as right-handed models. Using a properly designed left-handed guitar helps with balance, technique, and confidence, allowing players to focus on developing their sound without having to adapt to an instrument that doesn’t suit the way they play..
