Description

The Ibanez GRX120SP is a slick, modern rock machine that puts iconic Ibanez feel and tone within easy reach of beginners and budget-conscious players. With its fast Maple neck, dual Classic Elite humbuckers and a responsive T106 tremolo bridge, it’s built to inspire you from your very first chord right through to your first gig.

Comfortable Maple neck

The slim GRX Maple neck with a satin polyurethane finish feels fast and smooth in the hand, helping newer players move around the fingerboard with less effort. Its comfy profile and 25.5” scale length make bends, chords and riffs feel natural, encouraging longer, more productive practice sessions.

Poplar body & Classic Elite pickups

The Poplar body delivers a well-balanced tone with plenty of thickness, providing a solid foundation for rock and metal styles. Paired with Classic Elite humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions, you get a rich, nuanced sound with a fat low end that works brilliantly for chunky riffs and saturated leads with warm, singing sustain.

T106 tremolo

This trem features six independent saddles, allowing precise adjustment of string height and intonation for each string. This helps you dial in a comfortable playing action and reliable tuning stability, while still giving you access to expressive vibrato and pitch effects via the tremolo arm.

Key Features

  • Poplar body: Lightweight and keeps things comfortable for long practice sessions, especially with its smooth contours.
  • Maple neck and Jatoba fingerboard: The slim shape and silky Jatoba fretboard with medium frets make it easier to play accurately and comfortably, helping beginners progress quickly and more experienced players feel instantly at home.
  • Classic Elite humbuckers: Provide a rich, powerful tone with a fat low end and plenty of punch, making this guitar ideal for rock and metal while still offering enough nuance for softer pop and funk styles.
  • 5-way pickup selector switch: Lets you get a surprisingly wide range of sounds, including brighter, more articulate options for rhythm work and cleans.
  • T106 tremolo: Gives you the freedom to add expressive vibrato and subtle pitch bends to your playing.
