Legendary shredder Paul Gilbert's signature model… shrunk down to size. The Ibanez MiKro maybe small, but it's feisty to the core. The perfect shredder style electric to take on your travels or for smaller hands. Expect all the same big rock tones you know from Ibanez.

Construction

Made to a tiny 22.2-inch scale length and equally compact poplar body, the MiKro is light and easy to handle. The maple fretboard and medium jumbo frets are a pleasure to play, with a 400mm radius maple neck. It's equipped with a sturdy F106 hard tail bridge to keep you in tune even as you travel through different climates.

Sound

Powering the MiKro are Ibanez Infinity humbuckers in both neck and bridge positions. These ceramic pickups deliver the fiery Paul Gilbert tone you know and love. That means gorgeous highs for singing bends and leads, and a tighter low end when palm muting. Set to cleans, they sound smooth, controlled and direct with a prominent midrange tone.

Stuff About Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Stuff About Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

Stuff About S Style Electric Guitars

S style electric guitars are known for their comfortable contours, versatile tones, and expressive playability. Typically featuring a double-cutaway body and a vibrato bridge, they offer easy access to higher frets and a naturally balanced feel whether standing or seated. Their pickup configurations often favour clarity and articulation, making them well suited to clean sounds, edge-of-breakup tones, and expressive lead playing, while still handling heavier styles with the right setup. S style guitars are valued for their responsiveness to touch and dynamics, making them a popular choice for players who want an instrument that feels fluid, familiar, and adaptable across a wide range of music.
