Imagine the ability to combine the best and defining characteristics of different overdrive & boost pedals in order to create hybrid sounds no one has ever played through before. That is exactly what Keeley Electronics engineered with the Noble Screamer. It’s a 4-in-1 pedal that gives you two very familiar drive circuits and two brand new amp-like overdrive and distortion tones.

It’s almost like pedal-modelling, except these are 100% analogue circuits, and you decide which tone-control or clipping-section you want to play through. Toggle between battle-tested, classic overdrive effects or innovate your sound using new hybrid tones; let your ears be the judge.

The Noble Screamer can be powered by a regular 9V DC PSU (centre -, 2.1 mm, 26 mA current draw)

Key Features

  • Switchable Diode clipping – Switchable between Hard or Soft Diode Clipping – If the Clipping Switch is in the OD Position it features Hard Diode Clipping which is an edgier, more aggressive tone. When in the TS Position that uses Soft Diode Clipping, like a tube amplifier softly overdriven.
  • Switchable Tone Control – Move between Broad Spectrum Tone Control or a Narrow Focus Low Pass Filter dependant on what style of Overdrive you want to dial in. When the Tone Switch is up and in the OD Position you will hear a ‘Spectrum’ type of tone control that has the ability to go from a flat EQ to an EQ that has a boost in the treble and bass response.
  • 100% analogue circuit with all-analogue signal path – This provides the user with a warmer tone.
  • Silent soft-touch switch with switchable Buffered or True Bypass Switching – The Keeley Noble Screamer features Keeley Electronics Vitamin K Infused Buffer for noise free switching. They have developed an amazing sounding buffer which not only makes your rig sound better, it gives you silent switching with no tone loss. No more pops and clicks to distract from your music. If you want to turn that feature off and go back to true bypass, simply press and hold down the foot switch for two seconds and the pedal will switch to True-Bypass.

Even with all of these features, the pedal remains a user-friendly three knob overdrive. The innovation in the Noble Screamer doesn’t end there; the design features true-bypass or buffered, truly silent switching, on the fly.

Stuff About Guitar Pedals

Guitar pedals are compact effects units that shape and enhance a guitar’s sound, sitting between the instrument and the amplifier. They include gain pedals like overdrive and distortion, modulation effects such as chorus and tremolo, time-based effects like delay and reverb, and essential utilities including tuners, compressors and loopers. Understanding basic things such as pedal type, signal order, power requirements and intended use helps players choose pedals that suit their style, setup and playing environment.

The Important stuff

Natural — Natural guitars showcase the beauty of the wood itself, with finishes that highlight the grain, colour, and character of each piece. Favoured by players who appreciate simplicity and authenticity, natural finishes let the instrument’s craftsmanship and tonewoods speak for themselves. Whether it’s the warm glow of mahogany or the bright shimmer of maple, a natural guitar has a timeless, organic look that never goes out of style. These instruments often feel more connected to their acoustic roots, offering both visual elegance and a sense of purity that appeals to musicians across all genres.. Overdrive — Overdrive pedals add warmth, grit, and natural compression to your tone, capturing the feel of a pushed tube amp. They respond dynamically to your playing, offering everything from a light bluesy crunch to full, saturated rock tones. Perfect for boosting solos or shaping your core sound, an overdrive pedal brings character and life to any setup. Whether you prefer vintage smoothness or modern bite, these pedals are essential for players who want expressive, touch-sensitive drive with plenty of personality.. Pedal — Pedals are the tools that let you shape, colour and transform your sound, from subtle tone enhancement to bold, creative effects. Whether you are adding grit, space, movement or control, a pedal becomes part of your playing rather than just an add-on. Exploring different pedals is about discovering what responds to your touch and helps your sound feel more like your own..
