Will the Landlord FX Bar Brawl pedal actually toughen you up? No, of course not. But it will make your guitar’s signal fight off many competing frequencies when playing in a band, so that you can cut through the mix with ease! This high-gain distortion effect is a super-affordable mini stompbox that really packs a punch — able to make any dry clean tone sound like a supercharged half stack turned all the way up to eleven!

3 Gain Modes

Unlike many conventional overdrive and distortion boxes, the Landlord FX Bar Brawl comes equipped with a 3-way toggle switch that allows you to select between Extra, Ultra and Original modes — each setting serving up different amounts of gain so that you can find your tonal sweet-spot. Combined with the Dist and Tone knobs, allowing you to determine the intensity of gain and amount of treble respectively, the Bar Brawl offers up a lot of flexibility for a pedal that’s so inexpensive.

Easy To Add To Your Setup

The Landlord FX Bar Brawl’s ultra-compact footprint makes it easy to fit the stompbox into any vacant crevice on your pedalboard! And while it doesn’t take batteries, its 9V power requirements and low current draw allow you to power the Bar Brawl from practically any standard pedal PSU.

Stuff About Guitar Pedals

Guitar pedals are compact effects units that shape and enhance a guitar’s sound, sitting between the instrument and the amplifier. They include gain pedals like overdrive and distortion, modulation effects such as chorus and tremolo, time-based effects like delay and reverb, and essential utilities including tuners, compressors and loopers. Understanding basic things such as pedal type, signal order, power requirements and intended use helps players choose pedals that suit their style, setup and playing environment.

The Important stuff

Distortion — Distortion pedals deliver the raw, aggressive edge that defines rock and metal, transforming your clean tone into something powerful and full of attitude. By pushing your signal into rich harmonic saturation, they create thick, sustaining sounds that cut through any mix. From classic crunchy riffs to high-gain modern mayhem, distortion pedals give you total control over how wild or tight your tone gets. Whether you’re crafting searing leads or heavy rhythm walls, they’re an essential tool for adding energy, bite, and character to your playing.. FX — FX, or effects, are guitar pedals and processors used to shape, enhance, or completely transform your sound. They can add anything from subtle colour and warmth to dramatic textures, ambience, and movement, allowing players to craft a tone that suits their style, genre, and playing approach. Whether used individually or chained together, FX pedals give control over dynamics, distortion, modulation, delay, reverb, and more. From simple analogue designs to advanced digital units, effects are a core part of modern guitar setups, helping players create distinctive and expressive sounds.. Pedal — Pedals are the tools that let you shape, colour and transform your sound, from subtle tone enhancement to bold, creative effects. Whether you are adding grit, space, movement or control, a pedal becomes part of your playing rather than just an add-on. Exploring different pedals is about discovering what responds to your touch and helps your sound feel more like your own..
