Perfect for practice, recording, rehearsal and performance, the Laney FOUNDRY Series takes the power, dynamism and response of Laney’s acclaimed tube amp ranges and forges them into creative, affordable, high-quality solid-state amplifiers that are practical, full of features & easy to transport.

Key Features

  • Built-In Chorus, Modulation & Reverb – Enhance your sound with versatile chorus, tremolo, flanging & spring reverb which are all based of much loved Black Country Customs effects pedals.
  • Footswitchable Boost – Featuring a built-in foot switchable boost, the LF-SUPERTOP allows you to push a clean tone into a slight overdrive, or an overdriven tone into a searingly hot lead tone.
  • Tone Stack – In addition to a passive 3-band tone stack, it wouldn’t be a LIONHEART without an overall tone control. This acts like the tone control on a guitar, allowing for quick and powerful changes to your overall EQ.
  • Dual Channel – Seamlessly switch between the LEAD channel for saturated overdrives and CLEAN channel for crystal-clear, pristine tones.

Following the massive success of Laney’s award-winning LIONHEART FOUNDRY combo amplifiers, Laney now present a dual-channel 120w all-analogue amplifier head, and a matching 2×12” and 4×12” matching speaker cabinet.

The LF-SUPERTOP is built with the same mapped topology of all of the tube-circuitry of the LIONHEART tube amp range and is packed full of additional features such as built-in modulation effects and powerful output options.

Want to emulate the sound and feel of the legendary Laney GS112 & GS412 cabinets? Equipped with LAIR (Laney Advance Impulse Response Technology), the LF-SUPERTOP head can emulate these sounds no matter what cabinet you use.

Low Volume Practice

Dial the output section back from MAX output to less than 1” to keep all of the tone, making it great for practice at home.

High-Quality Effects Loop

Use the high-quality effects loop and connect your favourite post pre-amp FX pedals/units, just like the tube driven LIONHEARTS.

Connect & Record

Laney have carefully captured the essence of their legendary GS112 and GS 412 speaker cabinets to ensure they perfectly match the Foundry LIONHEARTs. Thanks to the LAIR technology, you can simply flick a switch to add them into your sound.

Stuff About Amp Heads

An amp head contains the core tone and power of a guitar amplifier without the built-in speakers, allowing you to pair it with the cabinet of your choice. This setup offers greater flexibility over sound and volume, as different speaker cabinets can dramatically change the feel and character of the amp. Amp heads are available in valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, ranging from low-wattage studio models to high-powered touring rigs. They’re ideal for players who want a modular setup, precise control over their tone, and the ability to adapt their rig to different venues, cabinets, or recording situations.

Stuff About Amps

Guitar amps cover everything needed to amplify, shape, and project your guitar sound, from small practice setups to full stage and studio rigs. In this category you’ll find combo amps, separate amp heads and speaker cabinets, covering valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, each offering a different feel and response. You’ll also see modelling and digital amps, built-in effects, footswitches, attenuation solutions, replacement speakers, valves, and essential accessories to keep an amp performing at its best. Whether you’re chasing pristine cleans, classic crunch, or modern high-gain tones, guitar amps and related gear are all about finding the right balance of power, tone, and control for the way you play.

The Important stuff

Guitar Amp Head — Guitar amp heads contain the main tone-shaping and power section of an amplifier, designed to be paired with a separate speaker cabinet. They let you choose different cabinets to suit your sound and setup, offering flexibility for home, studio or live use. If you want control over volume, tone and character without being tied to a single combo format, amp heads give you a modular way to build the rig that works best for you..
