The Line 6 Spider began life as a simple practice amp. In this fifth Mk2 generation, it’s evolved into a powerful modelling tool capable of shaping hundreds of customisable sounds.

With the processing power of 128 presets and more than 200 amps, cabinets and effects, the Spider V Mk2 is built to handle your most far-reaching tonal creations – no matter your ability or experience. Whether you’re dialling in an intense metal tone, ambient textures or vintage purity, the Line 6 Spider contains the power to sculpt it. You’ll equally get a great sound if you just want to plug in and play.

Mk2 Upgrade

The main difference between the Mk1 and Mk2 is the ability to select either a Classic Speaker mode, or an FRFR (full range, flat response) setting. The former is your familiar, earthy tone guitar cab with plenty of low end. The Spider is more organic sounding than any of its predecessors.

Switch over to the FRFR mode for a hi-fidelity clean monitor-like sound. Plug in your acoustic to hear your instrument shine through naturally, or use the Spider as a quality speaker system for your mobile phone and other audio devices.

Spider V Remote App

You might need a bit of help customising, saving and recalling your sounds. This is where the remote app comes into play. Unlock even more creative possibilities in this seamlessly navigable interface. Share presets among other Spider V users on the CustomTone community.

Connectivity

The Mk2 Spider V is optimised for use with the Line 6 FBV 3 foot controller. Access your amp presets on the fly without tap dancing over guitar pedals.

Stuff About Amps

Guitar amps cover everything needed to amplify, shape, and project your guitar sound, from small practice setups to full stage and studio rigs. In this category you’ll find combo amps, separate amp heads and speaker cabinets, covering valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, each offering a different feel and response. You’ll also see modelling and digital amps, built-in effects, footswitches, attenuation solutions, replacement speakers, valves, and essential accessories to keep an amp performing at its best. Whether you’re chasing pristine cleans, classic crunch, or modern high-gain tones, guitar amps and related gear are all about finding the right balance of power, tone, and control for the way you play.

Stuff About Combo Amps

Combo amps combine an amplifier and speaker into a single, self-contained unit, making them a practical and popular choice for many players. They’re easy to transport, simple to set up, and available in a wide range of power ratings, from small practice amps to powerful stage-ready models. Combo amps come in valve, solid-state, hybrid, and digital designs, often with built-in effects and tone controls. Their all-in-one nature makes them ideal for home use, rehearsals, recording, and live performance where convenience and reliable tone matter.
