Here’s what MARKBASS say about the Little Mark Rocker 58R:

The Little Mark’s international success is driven by its versatile sound, suitable for all styles of music. It’s also an amp chosen by ROCK bassists, so we decided to make a more aggressive version – adding custom-designed and footswitchable drive circuitry for a wide range of onboard overdrive and distortion sounds. And just like our other amps in the 58R series, the LITTLE MARK ROCKER 58R’s new design features all the connections and controls on the front panel, keeping a clean rear panel with only power and speaker connectors – this offers optimal ergonomics making everything more practical, all in an ultralight, high build quality chassis for a super portable package.

Drive And Blend Controls

Rock bassists love Little Mark heads, however the drive section of this model makes the Little Mark Rocker 58R better than ever for powerful rock tone!

The amount of drive, ranging from crunchy overdrive to aggressive distortion, is controlled by the DRIVE pot and a switch allows you to select between two types of drive. The BLEND control mixes between CLEAN and DISTORTED sounds.

New EQ Setting / 3-Way Switch / Old School

The 4 Band EQ of the Little Mark Rocker 58R has new centre frequencies which are all tuned to offer a balanced tone that slices through the mix. It also features a 3-way rotary switch that dial in 2 useful EQ presets to quickly select a true FLAT setting, or a CUT setting that has boosted low and highs with scooped mids.

The third option on the switch allows you to use an optional Dual Footswitch to control the DRIVE/BLEND section or the CUT EQ preset. The OLD SCHOOL control cuts a wider and wider range of frequencies as you dial it up to easily shape an old style vintage tone.

Modern Classic Winning Aesthetic

This new amp features all the connections and controls on the front panel – including a convenient mute switch, along with the DI level control knob that allows for precise control of the signal sent to your mixer/PA with a Pre-Post EQ switch to set the XLR’s output routing to before or after your EQ as required. This leaves only the speaker out and AC power socket on the rear panel, ensuring everything is practical with a winning aesthetic.

Amp Heads

An amp head contains the core tone and power of a guitar amplifier without the built-in speakers, allowing you to pair it with the cabinet of your choice. This setup offers greater flexibility over sound and volume, as different speaker cabinets can dramatically change the feel and character of the amp. Amp heads are available in valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, ranging from low-wattage studio models to high-powered touring rigs. They’re ideal for players who want a modular setup, precise control over their tone, and the ability to adapt their rig to different venues, cabinets, or recording situations.

Amps

Guitar amps cover everything needed to amplify, shape, and project your guitar sound, from small practice setups to full stage and studio rigs. In this category you’ll find combo amps, separate amp heads and speaker cabinets, covering valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, each offering a different feel and response. You’ll also see modelling and digital amps, built-in effects, footswitches, attenuation solutions, replacement speakers, valves, and essential accessories to keep an amp performing at its best. Whether you’re chasing pristine cleans, classic crunch, or modern high-gain tones, guitar amps and related gear are all about finding the right balance of power, tone, and control for the way you play.

Amp

An amp is an amplifier used to boost the signal from a guitar and shape its overall tone and volume. It plays a major role in how a guitar sounds, influencing everything from clean clarity to natural overdrive and distortion, and is a core part of any guitar setup for both practice and live performance.

Distortion

Distortion pedals deliver the raw, aggressive edge that defines rock and metal, transforming your clean tone into something powerful and full of attitude. By pushing your signal into rich harmonic saturation, they create thick, sustaining sounds that cut through any mix. From classic crunchy riffs to high-gain modern mayhem, distortion pedals give you total control over how wild or tight your tone gets. Whether you’re crafting searing leads or heavy rhythm walls, they’re an essential tool for adding energy, bite, and character to your playing.

Overdrive

Overdrive pedals add warmth, grit, and natural compression to your tone, capturing the feel of a pushed tube amp. They respond dynamically to your playing, offering everything from a light bluesy crunch to full, saturated rock tones. Perfect for boosting solos or shaping your core sound, an overdrive pedal brings character and life to any setup. Whether you prefer vintage smoothness or modern bite, these pedals are essential for players who want expressive, touch-sensitive drive with plenty of personality.
