This Marshall 2×12 is loaded with two Celestion Vintage 30 speakers leading to the classic Marshall speaker cab tone. Smooth and powerful with just a little breakup when really driven hard. Pure rock! Nothing sounds quite like a full Marshall stack and a great solo riff. This cab gives you all the power you need to really crank out the best rock sound wherever you play.

Here’s what Marshall say about the 1936V

Loaded with just two Celestion G12T Vintage speakers, the 1936V makes great sense if you want the classic Marshall sound and look, but have restricted space – whether that’s on stage or in your project studio. It pairs well with Marshall’s smaller heads, like the DSL15 or DSL1H, and makes for a striking alternative to a 2 x 12” combo.

The 1936V differs from the 1936 only by its speakers; it’s loaded with Celestion G12 Vintage speakers. The result is a creamier higher-end response, which sounds slightly warmer than the G12T-75s used in the 1936. The 1936V can be used in mono or stereo mode, without the need to switch.

Stuff About Marshall

Marshall is a legendary British amplifier brand that defined the sound of rock music with its unmistakable power, grit, and presence. Founded by Jim Marshall in London in 1962, the company quickly became synonymous with the roaring tones of the 1960s and 70s, used by icons like Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townshend, and Slash. Known for their iconic “stack” design and warm overdrive, Marshall amps deliver the punchy, dynamic sound that has powered countless stages and recordings. From classic valve amplifiers to modern digital models, Marshall continues to embody the spirit of rock’n’roll—loud, bold, and timeless.

The Important stuff

2×12. Cab. Guitar Amps and Cabs — Guitar amps and cabs are at the heart of your tone, shaping everything from crisp clean sounds to heavy distortion. Combo amps combine the speaker and amplifier in one portable unit, ideal for rehearsals and small gigs, while separate amp heads and cabinets offer more power and flexibility for stage use. Valve amps deliver classic warmth and dynamic response, while solid-state and modelling amps provide reliable performance and a wide range of tones. Guitar cabinets, from compact 1x12s to full 4×12 stacks, influence projection and character, so matching the right amp and cab setup is key to getting your perfect sound..
