Designed in collaboration with software experts Softube, Marshall’s CODE series of digital programmable amplifiers are made for guitarists who seek ultimate versatility, with the ability to change parameters from their smartphone or computer!

With over 100 ready-to-rock presets, these powerful and gig-worthy amps are filled with 14 modelled preamps, 4 power amps and 8 speaker cabinets; not to mention 24 built-in effects too. CODE series amps provide you with every iconic Marshall tone and much, much more.

The CODE50

The Marshall CODE50 sits in the middle of the lineup, making it the best-selling model from the range. With 50-watts of headroom, the CODE50 also boasts a portable, medium-sized cabinet that hosts a punchy custom-designed 12″ Marshall speaker. With plenty of power, the CODE50 is more than capable of handling almost any musical situation.

Multiple Modelled Marshalls!

Marshall and Softube worked meticulously on modelling various amps to ensure that they sound as authentic as possible. The 14 MST preamp modules cover everything from classic Bluesbreakers to the hard-rocking JCM800, and even the modern JVM and DSL valve amps.

Cabinet simulations were also covered, with almost every kind of Marshall cab sound carefully captured. From the small 1×12″ 1912 to the mammoth 4×12″ 1960A, you can easily experiment with different cabinet models to make the sound in your head a reality.

Power amplifiers were modelled too, with the four main types of power valve available. An EL34-filled Marshall 100w, 5881-filled vintage Marshall 30w, a more American-sounding A/B 5881 Power amp and a small British Class A EL84-designed option can be selected. These can all be mixed and matched to form your dream Marshall tone!

24 Built-In Effects

Moving on from the amp and cab sounds, you also have a vast collection of effects that cover all of the bases. Compressor, distortion, auto-wah, pitch shifter, chorus, flanger, phaser and tremolo on top of the studio-quality reverbs and tap tempo delays.

All of these effects can be accessed either on the amp, using the Marshall Gateway app or via the programmable controller (sold separately). But what’s even cooler is the ability to use 5 different effects simultaneously, meaning that you can combine modulation, distortion and time-based effects!

Gateway App & Connectivity

Marshall’s CODE series of amplifiers have so much functionality, that they couldn’t physically fit every single feature on their control panels! That’s why Marshall designed the Gateway app, to give you more control and flexibility over their sound so you can really dig deep and precisely craft the best sounds.

Via the Gateway app, you can make on-the-fly tone tweaks, create presets, manage amp patches and even stream music straight to the unit using Bluetooth. And with the MyMarshall site, you can even upload and download to the global library of user presets. The CODE50 has it all!

Amps

Guitar amps cover everything needed to amplify, shape, and project your guitar sound, from small practice setups to full stage and studio rigs. In this category you’ll find combo amps, separate amp heads and speaker cabinets, covering valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, each offering a different feel and response. You’ll also see modelling and digital amps, built-in effects, footswitches, attenuation solutions, replacement speakers, valves, and essential accessories to keep an amp performing at its best. Whether you’re chasing pristine cleans, classic crunch, or modern high-gain tones, guitar amps and related gear are all about finding the right balance of power, tone, and control for the way you play.

Combo Amps

Combo amps combine an amplifier and speaker into a single, self-contained unit, making them a practical and popular choice for many players. They’re easy to transport, simple to set up, and available in a wide range of power ratings, from small practice amps to powerful stage-ready models. Combo amps come in valve, solid-state, hybrid, and digital designs, often with built-in effects and tone controls. Their all-in-one nature makes them ideal for home use, rehearsals, recording, and live performance where convenience and reliable tone matter.

1×12

1×12 refers to a speaker configuration with one 12-inch speaker, most commonly found in guitar amplifiers and speaker cabinets. It offers a balanced combination of clarity, low-end response, and projection, making it a versatile choice for both home use and live performance.

Compared to smaller speaker setups, a 1×12 delivers a fuller sound with more body, while remaining more compact and portable than larger multi-speaker cabinets. It is popular with players who want strong tone and punch without the weight and volume of a 2×12 or 4×12 setup.

Combo

A combo amplifier combines the amp head and speaker cabinet into one convenient, self-contained unit, making it a favourite for players who want great tone without extra setup. Compact and portable, combos come in all sizes and power levels, from small practice amps to stage-ready tube beasts. They deliver everything from sparkling cleans to rich overdrive, often with built-in effects and tone-shaping controls. Perfect for rehearsals, recording, or gigs, a good combo amp gives you the full sound and feel of a complete rig in one easy-to-carry package.
