MXR have packed two of their best Phaser circuits into one tiny little pedal! The Phase 95 integrates perfectly into your pedalboard setup without taking up too much space, while still giving you that true MXR phaser tone.

Phase 90

The phase 90 switch will give you a classic phasing with the variable speed control. If you want subtle, long warble or crazy jet-engine strumming then you can achieve both on the phase 90 setting. The script will take out the feedback so that the phaser becomes smooth with less harsh top-end.

Phase 45

The Phase 45 is a far less "in-your-face" style of phaser so even if you just want to use the MXR mini phase for a bit of texture over your lead solo you can do that. Or you can turn the script off and turn on your best Van Halen impersonation.

Key Features

  • Combines MXR’s most iconic phase circuits in a single mini housing
  • About half the footprint of a standard MXR pedal
  • 45/90 switch toggles between Phase 45 and Phase 90 circuits
  • Script removes feedback for a subtler vintage sound

More info about this Product

Guitar Pedals

Guitar pedals are compact effects units that shape and enhance a guitar’s sound, sitting between the instrument and the amplifier. They include gain pedals like overdrive and distortion, modulation effects such as chorus and tremolo, time-based effects like delay and reverb, and essential utilities including tuners, compressors and loopers. Understanding basic things such as pedal type, signal order, power requirements and intended use helps players choose pedals that suit their style, setup and playing environment.

Mini

Mini describes a compact or scaled-down version of a guitar pedal or piece of gear, designed to save space without sacrificing core functionality. Mini pedals are ideal for crowded pedalboards, travel rigs, or players who want essential sounds in a smaller footprint while keeping their setup simple and efficient.

Pedal

Pedals are the tools that let you shape, colour and transform your sound, from subtle tone enhancement to bold, creative effects. Whether you are adding grit, space, movement or control, a pedal becomes part of your playing rather than just an add-on. Exploring different pedals is about discovering what responds to your touch and helps your sound feel more like your own.

Phase

Phase describes the timing relationship between audio signals or parts of a signal as they move through a circuit or system. When signals interact in or out of phase, certain frequencies can be reinforced or cancelled, which directly affects tone and clarity.

In effects and audio processing, phase is most commonly associated with phaser effects and signal alignment in multi-mic or multi-amp setups. Managing phase correctly helps maintain fullness and definition, while deliberate phase shifting is used creatively to add movement and texture to a sound.

Phaser

Phaser is a modulation effect that creates a smooth, swirling sound by splitting the signal and shifting the phase of one path before mixing it back with the original. As the phase shift is modulated, it produces moving peaks and dips in the frequency response, giving the effect its characteristic sweep.

It is commonly used to add movement and texture to guitars, keyboards, and other instruments, ranging from subtle and warm to deep and psychedelic. Phaser effects are strongly associated with classic funk, rock, and 1970s tones, but remain widely used in modern music for their fluid, musical character.
