Description

Building upon the success of the previous iterations, the flagship AD200 (v2) has been revamped with the needs of modern bass players and versatility at the forefront of the design re-envision.

The AD200 provides the coveted Orange bass tone that has been the backbone of some of the most thunderous and regarded bass rigs. Famed for its ear-splitting low-end, resonant mids and clear highs as well as its energetic and cutting gain structure, the AD200 delivers on all fronts. What differs in this latest version is it’s even more powerful clean headroom. Thanks to some switchable clever circuitry in conjunction with a quartet of powerful KT88 valves, the AD200 can be pushed even harder without breaking up allowing you to achieve a more modern, cleaner tone. The AD200 can now do it all from loud and dynamic cleans to full-on classic Orange fuzz!

Key Features

  • Powered by KT88’s – The updated AD200 comes optimised for a quartet of KT88 valves for a bolder and clearer tone.
  • Clean Switch – After a crisper, cleaner and more modern-sounding clean Bass tone?… No Problem! The Clean Switch helps tame the amps break up and gain at high volumes.
  • Made in the UK – The AD200 is proudly built in the UK utilising premium components and build quality. Finished in the timeless ‘Orange’ styling with a pics-only front panel.

Simplicity is Key!

The AD200 is built to be uncomplicated. It was designed with the premise that less is more and that the least interference between the bass and the speaker is in fact better. This all-analogue, all-valve tone machine features a powerful but simple 3-band EQ, gain and volume controls as well as the clean switch. There is an input for active and passive basses, a choice of different speaker outs as well as a slave output. There’s nothing extra as there doesn’t need to be, it’s a testament to an old-school way of thinking and proof of how sometimes the answer to something that can very easily become complicated is in fact quite often a simple, but very well thought-out solution.

In this category you’ll find combo amps, separate amp heads and speaker cabinets, covering valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, each offering a different feel and response. You’ll also see modelling and digital amps, built-in effects, footswitches, attenuation solutions, replacement speakers, valves, and essential accessories to keep an amp performing at its best. Whether you’re chasing pristine cleans, classic crunch, or modern high-gain tones, guitar amps and related gear are all about finding the right balance of power, tone, and control for the way you play.

Bass Amps

Bass amplifiers are designed to reproduce low frequencies with suitable headroom, control and speaker handling. The category includes compact practice models, stage-ready combos, amplifier heads and systems with recording or direct-output facilities. Compare power, speaker size, cabinet compatibility, EQ, compression, drive, effects loops and balanced outputs while considering the volume and low-end extension the playing situation requires.

Amp

An amp is an amplifier used to boost the signal from a guitar and shape its overall tone and volume. It plays a major role in how a guitar sounds, influencing everything from clean clarity to natural overdrive and distortion, and is a core part of any guitar setup for both practice and live performance.

Amp Head

Guitar amp heads contain the main tone-shaping and power section of an amplifier, designed to be paired with a separate speaker cabinet. They let you choose different cabinets to suit your sound and setup, offering flexibility for home, studio or live use. If you want control over volume, tone and character without being tied to a single combo format, amp heads give you a modular way to build the rig that works best for you.
