The PRS SE NF3 in Metallic Orange with Rosewood fingerboard brings PRS’s esteemed hot-rodded super double-cutaway electric guitar to the masses! Featuring a trio of Narrowfield DD S pickups, this workhorse is perhaps one of PRS’s most versatile electric guitars to date, ready for anything from gospel and jazz all the way to rip-roaring rock

The SE NF3’s ergonomic curves and contoured body, along with its wide thin neck profile and 10” fingerboard radius, makes this guitar feel streamlined, comfortable and efficient. Perfectly partnered with PRS’s fluid patented tremolo system and upgraded PRS tuners with Wing Buttons it’s an electric guitar that’s as much exciting to play as it is reliable and trustworthy.

Narrowfield DD “S”

A unique modern pickup design from PRS offering versatility, power and focus. Using a “Deep Dish” design in conjunction with taller bobbins and a combination of different magnets and steel pole pieces these pickups offer the player a sound that highlights the strengths of traditional single-coil and humbucking pickups. Somewhat of a more powerful full-frequency single-coil, it takes the richness and fullness of a humbucker but adds the highs and definition of a single-coil pickup.

Poplar Body

Picked for its lightweight and resonant properties, poplar is an excellent choice of tonewood for an electric guitar body. Similar in voice to alder, it provides a well-balanced tone with plenty of harmonic sustain that can easily be adapted to fit a magnitude of different playing styles. It allows the articulation and highs of the maple neck to shine through along with the rich tone of the Narrowfield DD pickups.

PRS Quality

Paul Reed Smith is known for making some of the highest quality, best finished and most thought-over guitars ever produced. No stone is left unturned in Paul’s quest to deliver the best-feeling instruments and the most desirable guitar tones. Using the same foundations, designs and guitar-building techniques the PRS SE is no exception to this rule. Built with the intention of offering the highest quality guitar at an affordable price, the SE series provides players with the perfect foundations to play, learn and develop their guitar journey.

More info about this Product

Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

Solid Body Electric Guitars

Solid body electric guitars are built from a solid piece or pieces of wood, giving them excellent sustain, stability, and resistance to feedback at higher volumes. This construction makes them well suited to amplified playing across a wide range of styles, from clean and articulate tones to heavy, high-gain sounds. Their design allows pickups and hardware to play a major role in shaping tone, while the solid body provides a consistent, reliable feel. Solid body electric guitars are valued for their durability, versatility, and ability to perform confidently on stage and in the studio.
