Not all Schecters have to be pointy and filled with hot hardware. Sometimes you want the speed and playability of a Schecter without having something completely metal in design. That is where this interesting little number comes in handy the C-1 E/A is an electric guitar that is fitted with not only 2 humbucking electric pickups but a piezo for great acoustic like tones.

Semi Hollow Construction

This is not a common feature on a Schecter but the C-1 E/A is actually a semi hollow guitar. Still based on their popular C-1 body shape this semi hollow guitar has a flamed maple top with mahogany back and sides. The cutaway in the body is not your traditional cut with a kid of sharkfin like carve into the top to of the maple that really allows this guitar to breath acoustically.

Schecter Playability

What makes this very cool is that you still get the same level of playability of a regular Schecter but with a more vintage styling and tone. The mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard have been carved to a smooth thin ‘C’ profile with a fairly flat 14″ radius fretboard. This means you can still play this guitar for all of your high speed licks but with a whole new look

Hybrid Electronics

This guitar can really work in nearly any situation. To start off you have a set of Schecter Diamond Plus pickups, these have a medium output with a smooth rolled high end almost like some vintage 50’s style pickups with a bit of extra heat. These work great for anything from blues to metal and everything in between. When you add in the Fishman Powerbridge Piezo things get really interesting. This pickup is designed to make your guitar have more of an acoustic sound when plugged in this can be great for clean sections in tracks where you just need a different sound without having to change guitars.

Stuff About Electric Guitars

Electric guitars use magnetic pickups to convert string vibration into an electrical signal, allowing the sound to be shaped through amplifiers and effects. Key things to understand include body shape, pickup type, neck profile, scale length and bridge design, as these all affect tone, feel and sustain. They are used across almost every modern genre, from clean and expressive to high-gain and aggressive styles, making them one of the most versatile instruments available.

Stuff About Guitars

Guitars cover a wide range of instruments designed to suit different styles, techniques, and sounds, from acoustic and classical models to solid body, semi-hollow, and hollow electric designs. Factors like body shape, scale length, neck profile, string type, and pickups all influence how a guitar feels and responds, making each type suited to different players and musical approaches. Whether used for rhythm, lead, songwriting, or experimentation, guitars are expressive, versatile instruments that form the heart of countless genres and playing styles.

Stuff About Semi-Hollow Electric Guitars

Semi-hollow electric guitars combine elements of solid and hollow body designs, offering warmth and resonance alongside improved sustain and feedback control. Typically built with a centre block running through the body, they deliver an open, airy character while remaining stable at higher volumes. This balance makes them well suited to a wide range of styles, from jazz and blues to indie, rock, and alternative music. Semi-hollow guitars respond well to dynamics and touch, providing a versatile, expressive option for players who want depth without sacrificing control.

The Important stuff

Semi-Hollow — Semi-hollow guitars blend the warmth and resonance of a hollow body with the feedback control and sustain of a solid body. Featuring a solid centre block running through the body, they deliver rich, open tones with added bite — perfect for blues, jazz, rock, and soul. From smooth cleans to gritty overdrive, semi-hollows like the ES-335 have become timeless favourites for players who want depth, character, and versatility in one beautifully balanced instrument..
