Designed for bass players seeking a vintage-inspired groovy humbucker-equipped bass with a selection of well-thought-out modern twists! The Sire Z7 features a ‘70s-inspired body equipped with the versatile pickup configuration of a humbucker in the bridge position and a J pickup by the neck. Its powerful preamp with mid-frequency control ensures any sound is possible and the twist of a few knobs. Also featuring Sire’s edgeless fingerboard design and carefully carved body contours, the Z7 provides unparalleled comfort in every position. Available in 4 and 5-string variants as well as fretless options, the Z7 is the bass you’ll never want to be without!

Sire Premium J+MM pickup set

Composed of Alnico magnets and US-made coils, the Z7’s MM humbucking pickup provides a powerful vintage bass tone full of depth, power and resonance. The Z7 also features a Sire J pickup in the neck position with a growl which perfectly compliments the fatness of the MM humbucker. With the Z7’s versatile blend control and powerful preamp, it’s easy to dial in the perfect bass tone for any style of music.

Signature Heritage-3 preamp

Installed throughout the Z7 range of bass guitars, the Marcus Miller Heritage-3 (with mid-frequency control) is an active 3-band preamp for shaping a clean audio balance from the instrument. This preamp includes volume/tone, blender, treble, bass and middle-frequency controls to attain virtually any desired audio output.

Sire Z-Bass body

All Marcus Miller Z7 bass models feature the new Sire Z body shape, with a rounded forearm contour that was inspired by the defined lower cutaway of iconic bass guitars from the 1970s. Crafted from either Swamp Ash or Alder, the Z7 is sure to complement the look and sound requirements of both traditional and modern players.
