The Sire P7 Alder 4 New Gen in Dark Forest takes the hugely popular P7 concept and refines it using real player feedback from the V7, V7 Vintage and P7 2nd Gen ranges. With a more comfortable neck, simplified control layout, upgraded electronics and premium hardware, this is a modern workhorse bass that delivers classic P and J tones with studio level flexibility for stage, studio and everything in between.
Combining a North American alder body with Marcus Super PJ Revolution pickups and the Marcus Heritage 3 preamp, the P7 New Gen offers a wide palette of punchy, articulate sounds that sit perfectly in any mix. Stainless steel frets, lightweight tuners and Lumiinlay position markers round out a specification that is built for serious, long term gigging.
Refined New Gen Neck
The updated New Gen C shape neck has been carefully tweaked for easier playing and a more natural feel in the hand. Combined with Sire’s Edgeless rolled fretboard edges, it feels broken in from day one, encouraging faster runs, smoother position shifts and less fatigue during long rehearsals or gigs.

The P7 New Gen keeps the powerful Marcus Heritage 3 preamp but simplifies the layout for smoother, more intuitive operation. The coil tap switch has been removed, leaving a clean control set that is quick to understand on stage. You still get extensive tone shaping, including a sweepable mid control, but with fewer distractions so you can focus on the music.

Lumiinlay dot position markers make it far easier to see where you are on dark stages or in low light environments, giving you extra confidence when the lights go down.
