The V3-5 New Gen features a reshaped neck and body profile designed to sit more naturally against the player. The C shape Canadian hard maple neck with a tinted finish feels smooth and comfortable, while the 34 inch scale and 9.5 inch radius rosewood fingerboard provide an easy playing platform for both traditional and modern techniques.
Simplified 2 Band Preamp
Sire have moved to a new, simplified 2 band preamp that makes it quicker to dial in great tones. With just bass and treble EQ on tap, you can shape your sound in seconds without getting lost in controls, making it ideal for live use and for players who want powerful but straightforward tone shaping.
Upgraded Alnico Pickups
The Marcus Standard J Revolution pickup set now uses Alnico magnets for a warmer and more expressive voice. These pickups capture the character of a classic jazz style bass with added clarity and punch, giving you everything from rounded fingerstyle tones to articulate slap and pick sounds.
Flexible Active and Passive Operation
The updated control layout removes the coil tap switch and replaces it with a push pull function on the bass control to switch between active and passive modes. This gives you instant access to a clean, unaffected passive tone alongside the more sculpted active sound, all from the same bass.
