You know exactly what to expect from a retro Precision bass – thunderous tone, gratifying playing experience and iconic shape. The Squier Classic Vibe series delivers on all fronts, with a faithful reproduction of ‘60s style.

Body and Neck

What you see is what you get with a Precision bass. The Poplar body and Maple neck combination is a sturdy as they come, ensuring stability no matter how much it gets bashed about. You’ll feel right at home on the C-shaped neck profile with an easily playable 9.5” radius. Extremely comfortable for the fretting hand and great for chugging away or more intricate styles.

Sound

This is a ballsy-sounding bass. Back in the day, bassists weren’t afraid to hide in a mix and the Precision tone reflects that. Great for rock, indie and blues musical genres, it delivers an undeniably old school tone, which has maintained the same characteristics over decades of electric bass production.

Hardware

A bone nut and four-saddle hardtail bridge will keep the Classic Vibe Precision in tune and hold rock solid intonation. It also features old school vintage style tuners, exclusive Squier headstock markings, nickel-plated hardware and a tinted gloss neck finish to get you in the swinging sixties’ mood.

Stuff About Bass Guitars

Bass guitars form the backbone of a band’s sound, sitting between rhythm and harmony to give music depth, weight, and movement. Available in electric and acoustic forms, they focus on delivering strong, controlled low frequencies while remaining clear and responsive to playing dynamics. Factors like scale length, string type, and pickup design all influence tone and feel, allowing bass guitars to suit a wide range of styles and techniques. Whether laying down solid grooves or exploring more melodic lines, a good bass guitar anchors the music and brings everything together.

Stuff About Electric Bass Guitars

Electric bass guitars provide the low-end foundation that supports rhythm, harmony, and groove within a band. Designed for clarity, punch, and control, they translate string vibration into a focused, amplified signal that locks in with drums and drives the music forward. Different scale lengths, pickup configurations, and electronics influence feel and tone, from deep, rounded lows to tight, articulate attack. Whether used for simple supportive lines or more expressive playing, electric bass guitars are essential for shaping the feel and energy of a track.
