The bridge combines the best of vintage styling with the easy use and adjustment of Squier’s latest synchronised tremolo system to make both playing string changes as effortless as possible. Fender’s ’70s era Stratocasters are some of the boldest and most desirable guitars they’ve ever made. The Squier FSR ’70s Classic Vibe captures everything cool about the decade that brought us the oversized headstock, fiery higher output pickups and stunning alternative finishes – all in an instrument perfect for developing players, guitarists working on a budget and those of us after something limited edition as part of the ‘Fender Special Run’. Fender Special Run If you see FSR in the name of an of Squier’s guitars, you’re in luck as it’s a Special: it’ll have unique features and/or a rare finish. This model comes in a sparkly Oxblood colour that you won’t find in the standard ’70s model. Fender-designed HSS pickups Most Strats have three single-coil pickups, but this ’70s Classic Vibe one swaps out the bridge position pickup for humbucker to deliver a more focused, punchier kick suited to tight rock and metal sounds, as well as a smoother, gliding clean tones. Make your way through the 5-way selector to access a mix of both the humbucker and middle position single-coil to round out some of it’s aggressive attack, and switch over to the individual middle and neck pickups for the iconic Strat bell-like voicings. These specific pickups are designed by Fender, so you know you’re getting quality wiring and authentic tone. Modern playing feel The ’70s Classic Vibe is equipped with a modern slim “C” neck shape – a standard appointment across Fender and Squier’s current ranges providing easy access across the stunning maple fretboard.
