A lightweight Poplar body makes the Sterling by Music Man StingRay a brilliant onstage workhorse — not putting any serious strain on your back or shoulders so that you can you perform at your best! Its neutral sonic qualities ensure that the punchy-sounding humbuckers deliver thick lows, rich mids and sizzling highs — for a balanced voice overall.

Addictive Neck Shape

All Music Man guitars are renowned for having incredibly pleasant neck profiles. The Sterling StingRay is no exception, and is certain to keep you playing for hours on end with its medium-thin, ergonomically-shaped hard Maple neck. Potent Proprietary Pickups

While Music Man’s USA StingRay comes equipped with a set of custom humbuckers, the California-based brand hasn’t let its inexpensive, Far Eastern-made StingRay suffer with sub-standard pickups. Fitted with a pair of Sterling-designed humbuckers, these harness the same sound characteristics of the standard StingRay’s pickups in great detail — rich in harmonic overtones and singing with sustain.
