The Surfy Industries SurfyBear Classic Tank is a premium standalone spring reverb unit designed to capture the unmistakable sound of the legendary early-60s outboard reverb units that defined surf guitar. Built for players who love authentic vintage tone the SurfyBear Classic faithfully recreates the character and behaviour of those iconic designs using modern reliability. Instead of tubes the circuit employs carefully tuned JFET transistor technology paired with a real spring reverb pan delivering the splashy ambience and unmistakable “drip” that guitarists associate with classic surf recordings. Housed in a traditional wooden enclosure covered in vintage-style tolex the SurfyBear Classic Tank is designed to complement vintage amplifiers visually as well as sonically. The exclusive SurfyPan EXTRA type-4 spring tank developed with Accutronics captures the long decay and lively response of the original early-60s units. With dual mixer control optional external footswitch connectivity and high-quality Switchcraft components throughout the SurfyBear Classic provides authentic analogue spring reverb with the durability and convenience required for modern touring and studio use.
