Description

An alternate version of the original Baby Taylor substitutes a solid Mahogany top, giving this 3/4 size Dreadnought a dark, attractive complexion and a mid-range boost. The Baby Taylor is the little Dreadnought that could. Taylor’s ultra-portable travel mate belies its size with a sweet, full voice and great tone. It’s remarkably versatile for special applications, whether played in alternate tunings or high-strung; with a capo or a slide. And, due to it’s size, it’s the perfect starter guitar for younger players.

Key Features

  • Baby – A ¾-size Dreadnought that yields a surprising amount of tone.
  • Layered Sapele – Layered wood construction is used to offer attractive, durable and affordable models.
  • Neo-Tropical Mahogany – The hardwood top produces strong fundamentals with clarity and focus.
  • No Electronics – Whether you’re an acoustic purist or simply don’t need a pickup, we’ve got you covered.

Ultra-Portable Travel Guitar

This mahogany-top edition of the Baby Taylor will yield a slightly darker, earthier tone than its spruce top sibling. The pint-size mini-Dreadnought was originally inspired by a desire to provide a smaller, starter-size guitar for kids and a legitimate musical companion for travelers, but players have since adapted it for their needs in all sorts of creative ways, from high-stringing it to setting it up to play lap slide, to embracing alternate tunings that add unique acoustic flavours to recordings. At the heart of it all is an authentic guitar sound and inviting playing experience. The guitar comes in a gig bag for easy toting convenience.

3/4 Size

3/4 size instruments are scaled-down versions of standard full-size models, designed to be smaller and easier to handle. They are commonly used by younger players, beginners, or anyone who prefers a more compact and lightweight instrument.

Despite their reduced size, 3/4 instruments are built to remain playable and musical, offering balanced tone and comfortable reach. They are also popular as travel instruments, providing portability without losing the familiar feel of a traditional guitar or bass.
