Description

The Victory Deputy is a modern classic guitar amp, thanks to its straightforward single-channel design and seriously addictive valve tone. Developed alongside our very own TV presenter Peter “Danish Pete” Honoré, the original concept was simple: capture the feel and response of a vintage British amp, then sneak in a few modern touches to make it work for today’s players. Following the success of the original compact 25-watt head and its ultra-portable lunchbox sibling, the Deputy has now grown up. The Victory Deputy 100 provides all the character, dynamics and touch sensitivity players love about the OG amp, but with a huge 100 watts of EL34-powered punch and headroom. Classic British tone, supercharged! If you love amps that let your guitar and playing do the talking, the Deputy 100 will be right up your street. Its single-channel design covers everything from sparkling ’60s-inspired cleans to chunky ’70s classic rock crunch, all from the amp’s Gain control and your guitar’s volume knob. With 100 watts on tap, there’s masses of clean headroom available, making it perfect for larger stages or anywhere you need authoritative valve tone that stays clear when cranked. Voice and Bright switches, flexible EQ While the Deputy 100 keeps things simple, it’s packed with useful tonal options. A three-position Voice switch adds extra gain and character as you move through the settings, helping you tailor the response to different guitars and pickups: Voice 1 (up): The lowest gain setting, keeping things clean, open and dynamic. Voice 2 (middle): Delivers a healthy gain boost, with up to +6dB of extra drive. Voice 3 (down): Adds upper mid frequencies and more treble to Voice 2. There’s also a dedicated Bright switch that serves up extra sparkle and attack, alongside a powerful three-band EQ and Presence control that lets you fine-tune exactly how much edge, punch and bite you want from your sound. Built-in ambience The Deputy 100 features a footswitchable digital reverb (footswitch included) that adds everything from subtle depth to expansive, atmospheric textures — sitting somewhere between the warmth of a plate reverb and the spaciousness of a hall. Turn it up and you’ll unlock a gorgeous shimmer that really brings clean passages and soaring lead lines to life. A word from Danish Pete “Since we launched the original Deputy, it’s quickly become a modern favourite, but I kept saying to the guys at Victory ‘could you imagine if this thing was louder and had more headroom? Even cleaner cleans and girthier girth?!’ So, it’s for that reason that we came up with the Deputy 100.” — Peter “Danish Pete” HonoreKey Features Single-channel, 100W design: Spans from ‘60s British cleans to ‘70s classic rock tones with a single gain control. It’s perfect for rolling back your guitar’s volume for clean tones, then pushing through to crunch and lead sounds when needed, with 100 watts of power providing maximum clean headroom. Three-position Voice switch: Adds a bit of extra gain as you move through the settings, making it easy to match the amp’s response to different guitars and pickup types. Bright switch: A simple toggle that adds instant top-end sparkle, allowing you to shape the sound of whatever you use before the amp exactly the way you want it. Simple, powerful EQ: The three-band EQ offers plenty of tone-sculpting potential, while the Presence control works within the power section to dial in exactly the right amount of bite and cut. Digital reverb: The Deputy 100 features a footswitchable onboard reverb, which sits somewhere between a plate and hall-type sound. It’s smoother and more modern sounding than a traditional spring reverb, with upper settings adding a glorious shimmer to your tone. Effects loop: Prefer using your own ambient effects? Simply connect your favourite reverb and delay pedals via the effects loop for maximum clarity and…

Amp Heads

An amp head contains the core tone and power of a guitar amplifier without the built-in speakers, allowing you to pair it with the cabinet of your choice. This setup offers greater flexibility over sound and volume, as different speaker cabinets can dramatically change the feel and character of the amp. Amp heads are available in valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, ranging from low-wattage studio models to high-powered touring rigs. They’re ideal for players who want a modular setup, precise control over their tone, and the ability to adapt their rig to different venues, cabinets, or recording situations.

Amps

Guitar amps cover everything needed to amplify, shape, and project your guitar sound, from small practice setups to full stage and studio rigs. In this category you’ll find combo amps, separate amp heads and speaker cabinets, covering valve, solid-state, and hybrid designs, each offering a different feel and response. You’ll also see modelling and digital amps, built-in effects, footswitches, attenuation solutions, replacement speakers, valves, and essential accessories to keep an amp performing at its best. Whether you’re chasing pristine cleans, classic crunch, or modern high-gain tones, guitar amps and related gear are all about finding the right balance of power, tone, and control for the way you play.

Amp

An amp is an amplifier used to boost the signal from a guitar and shape its overall tone and volume. It plays a major role in how a guitar sounds, influencing everything from clean clarity to natural overdrive and distortion, and is a core part of any guitar setup for both practice and live performance.

Amp Head

Guitar amp heads contain the main tone-shaping and power section of an amplifier, designed to be paired with a separate speaker cabinet. They let you choose different cabinets to suit your sound and setup, offering flexibility for home, studio or live use. If you want control over volume, tone and character without being tied to a single combo format, amp heads give you a modular way to build the rig that works best for you.
