Description
Maximum sound with minimum fuss is what Victory's Sheriff family of guitar amplifiers are built to deliver. The Sheriff 25 is a versatile valve amp combo, offering two channels of ballsy "black and gold" British rock tone! It comes equipped with a high-quality Celestion G12H Anniversary speaker picked specifically for the Sheriff range.
The Victory Sheriff 25's dedicated 'Vintage' channel delivers sweet '60s-style gain that's both crunchy and dynamic, while the more raucous 'Hot Rod' channel is where you'll discover the thicker, heavier high-gain sounds that transformed rock and metal in the late '70s and 1980s. These glorious tonal qualities make the Sheriff 25 flexible enough for practically any musical situation — designed for the studio, the home, and of course, the stage!
Key Features
- Two Channels — The Sheriff 25 offers two footswitchable channels; a low-gain 'Vintage' voice apt for classic rock and blues, and a high-gain 'Hot Rod' channel optimised for hard rock and even metal.
- Celestion G12H Anniversary Speaker — With strong aggressive low-end and powerful low-mids, the G12H penetrates any mix with an attacking upper mid-range and an ice-cool top- end.
- Simple, Powerful EQ — There's plenty of tone-sculpting potential with the Treble, Middle and Bass controls, plus a presence knob that works in the power section to set the overall bite just the way you like it!
- Master Volume Design — There are two master volume controls, one for each channel and footswitchable. The master volume assign function can switch the volume controls to be set globally across the channels, or to their original Vintage/Hot Rod channels.
- Bass Focus Switch — This is much more than a bass EQ. It works in the power section of the amp, offering either a tighter and more focused bottom-end, or conversely, a looser and more resonant timbre.
- Presence Switch — Located on the back panel of the amp (like the 'Bass Focus' button), this switch influences the brightness of the presence control. Pushed in, and the sound will be slightly brighter as it reduces negative feedback in the higher frequencies.
- Series Effects Loop — Available for fans of ambient and modulation pedals! It's completely removed from the circuit when bypassed.
- External Bias Test Points — No need to fiddle about inside when you change output valves. The Sheriff 25 is fitted with EL86s as standard, but can be biased to use 6L6s too, along with a range of other valves such as: KT66, KT77, 6CA7, 5881, etc.
